Any cash tips?

Im mainly a MTT and SNG player but im on abit of a down swing lately. I want to try my hand at abit of cash to grind back up a roll but in the past when iv played cash i find im playing way too many hands is the best cash strategy and more profitable to play fewer hands and only playing strong ones hard or smallball poker? Or shall i just stick with the MTT and SNG and play through the losing streak i seem to be on at the moment?
