Do sky poker run any sort of rake related promos to the WSOP in Vegas?

edited October 2011 in Poker Chat
Hi.

Just wondering if any are run on here.

I know they have the Viva las Vegas quali"s and i think there was 7 or 8 went this year through that format but i was just thinking that if they had some sort of a promo where players could opt into using a rake related scheme there might be alot more players who could qualify for next years showpiece.

I myself have never played or fancied playing live poker in the past but after seeing the SPTs and the guys in Vegas this year it has totally changed my views on it and i fully intend to attend a SPT in the near future ( so be nice to me please when im there cos i havn"t got a clue what im doing :) )

It is 5.45am and ive not slept yet so dont shoot me down if this idea is crazy :)

Cheers. Dave. (rentisdue)

The idea of the a new Vegas promo is something for Tikay, Blandie et al....

but what I will say is that live poker is a lot of fun and something that you should def try out ASAP

there is no better event to get you started into the live poker than an SPT so make sure you attend those soon.

sky usually have people on hand to make sure that all the newbies to the live game get a crash course in how the mechanics of the game work.  also i'm sure that the guys who tend to run the SnGs will take you under their wing too.

from a personal perspective, Vegas is simply staggering during the World Series time and it is something that you have to be there to believe.  the size of the rooms, the sounds, the whole vibe of the events cannot be portrayed thru pics/streams/videos.

see you at Sky VLV Dinner 2012 :)

@Rentisdue -great post! I also have never played live BUT as there is a SPT in Glasgow next year I am very interested in all things SPT and satting in.

@ Scotty - that's kinda puts some worries I had to bed.  I stream & watch the tour highlights on 865 and it looks like a totally different game!  Vegas is on the bucket list! lol

Didn't Sky Poker run some sort of Super-Satellite into the Viva Las Vegas final for x-thousand poker points?
