In Response to Re: Master Cash with Hartigan, Harris & Pickleman (***OFFICIAL THREAD***) : Arnold is only 3rd all time for Olympia wins, and, between 1970 and 1975, he entered around 1 or 2 compeitions per year and there were very shallow fields so it's not exactly comparable to Ronnie Coleman (name sound familiar ), Haney or Yates beating far more competitive fields. I expected a comeback from you as I suspected your name was referring to Coleman. I think that's a bit unfair to put him down because of what time period he happened to be competing in. He is regarded as the greatest competitor and certainly the greatest ambassador of the sport of all time by many.
Yes he hasn't won as many as Coleman, but he chose to retire for his own personal reasons as appose to thinking he no longer had the capability to win, as he proved in 1980. He was aesthetically the best looking bodybuilder of all time in terms of cuts and symmetry. The bodybuilders of today are not only too big (which I can't blame them individually because they feel they have to do it or they won't win) and the chemicals/supplements/injections are FAR more advanced and sophisticated today than they were in Arnie's time.
EDIT: Many of the top bodybuilders today have said that if Arnie had the same equipment to use in his day/he was competing at the same age as he was then but today, he would still come out on top.
greatest sporting moment ap mccoy winning the grand national to bring to the wider public as he is 16 times champion jockey and my boss (driver) end of. oh and top man to boot.thanks tatohead

We're kind of derailing the thread, but Arnold, while good for his time, would have no hope today. Too wide in the waist, too tall to fill out etc. Look at Phil Heath, current Mr Olympia, far better aesthetics, muscularity etc.
Why are poker tournaments al WSOPQRXYZ type titles ? Why not give them more sexy names . We don't have the ECKF competiition we have the FA cup. So how about the Teekay cup or the Hartigan championships . Something that catches the ear.
I wont go into it too much cos it's a topic for another night, but incase I'm not available on that night...
I don't see what the problem is with tipping a set small amount when you tip. As James said, you're already paying the rake and this is essentially your job. No-one gives you any money when you're on a downswing and you keep losing pots... you need to make the most of when you're winning big hands, to cover bad runs and still be making a profit.

Chris Boardman winning his gold medal at the Olympics has to be up there! since that memorable day our Track Cyclists have risen to being the best in the world. Mark Cavendish's electric sprints to win the Tour de France yellow jersey must be high on the list but I agree with Tatohead AP Mc Coy is super human holding unbeatable records in sporting achievements and medical procedures
In Response to Re: Master Cash with Hartigan, Harris & Pickleman (***OFFICIAL THREAD***) : Nice flop sir. Enjoying the show guys. My favourite sporting moment has to be Sheffield Wednesday beating Manchester United 1-0 in the league cup final in 1991. It's the only thing i've seen us win. We won't mention losing to that rubbish London based team in both cup finals a couple of years later. Posted by AcidMan27
