Vegas Trip

edited October 2011 in Poker Chat
Hi,

I'm planning my first Vegas trip later this year.  On Expedia the Rio hotel is shown as one of the better value places to stay.  I think this is where the Sky players went.  My question is whether it is an easy walk to the main strip - looking on Google Streetmap it looks a bit of a hike, especially if it is very hot.  I seem to recall from one of TK's blogs that he walked to Caesar's - how long would this take for example?  I don't want to rely on taxis.

Or would it be better to just pay more for Caesar's or the Bellagio?

Many thanks for any replies.

Cheers

Fullhaus

Was looking the other day on tinternet and you can get the Imperial Palace for about $20 a night , the Monte Carlo for about $60 a night and even the Palazzio for $139 a night(and if you stay for 3 nights they chuck in 2 free tickets to a vegas show!)(even cirque de soleil shows!)Strip location is best and no need for taxi's.

Would recommend the Aria at City Centre great hotel ,great location and got a good card room . The Signature at MGM is also great but a bit of a walk get get back round to the strip as the towers are located right round the back of MGM . Also stayed at New York New York but its not great , getting a bit shabby

Whatever you choose have a great time and hope you win some.

I stayed at the luxor and found it OK. At one end of strip so feels like a bit of a walk in the early hours!
Then again wasn't actually there much - ended up just being a place to crash!
Definately notthe Rio though - too far away

Good luck when you are there
