No need for this thread any longer.  Only poker advice you will ever need came from LJAMESL who gave this great advice which will help the vast majority of Skypoker players.  "When playing live, don't get intimidated by big name players!"  Quality coaching, we will all bear that in mind next time we find ourselves on the same table as Phil Ivey or Patrick Antonious.  Cheers mate!!

he really has a point. Ive played a few UKIPTs and in Edinburgh my Dad made day 2 (on which he has a 100% record of) and was put on the feature table sitting right next to Chris Moneymaker. He stated since he felt intimidated and never played close to his full game. Hes described the table as looking at a football pitch. Really not a great feeling.

Ive since discussed a number of things with my dad and in Dublin he was sat with Jude Ainsworth, he felt much more comfortable.


Although ive played in 3 aswell ive dodged all majorly big names but have played a few of the "tour regs" and i treat them as simply any other player. This allows me to play my own game and feel much more comfortable.
