Are these shoves/calls OK?

edited October 2011 in The Poker Clinic
I got to heads up in a 10-player sit and go.

These are three of the hands from the last few minutes.

I know that I got lucky a couple of times here, but after he lost he accused me of being a bingo fish. Are these calls OK?

He'd been on a blind-stealing bullying rampage for quite a few hands before that and I had been dealt absolute rubbish (T5, 63, 94, etc.).

I knew that Q4 wasn't great, but I'd be leaving myself with only 4BB if I folded again so just went for it.

I'd say it's okay to push with Q4 from the button heads up when you have 5xBB and you are 3:1 behind in chips. But I wouldn't be calling with it from the big blind. If you find yourself in a heads up match with blinds so high and a big chip defecit then you can pretty much shove ATC from the button and just pray. The hope is that he is card dead and folds a few times before getting tilted and calling with a worse hand or a coin flip hand.

Once you are level in chips with around 6 bigs each then I'm afraid it's not poker anymore anyway. Any hand better than J7 is better than a random hand and you can just ship it and pray. You don't want to be calling too much though. 9Ts is a great hand to shove because if he does have a better hand than you, then you likely have live cards. Unfortunatly in this hand you didn't

KJ again you are 6 BBs deep. You went in with the worse hand each time here so I can see why your opponent was upset. But these heads up at the end of STTs are just bingo anyway if players have been trying to fold their way to the money around the bubble

1st is a fold as your never beating much here ever and 2 and 3 are fine considering stacks

    Happy with all 3.

Folding the Q4 every time then shoving 80% of the hands I get next. As well as being unexploitable it allows you to take the moral high ground and call him a bingo fish if he call's light ;)

Sometimes you gotta take a stand with any 2 if you bullied, doesn't make you a bingo fish ) Even though I love the phrase.

The other two hands look fine given it's HU.
