    Evening all!

     

    Another beautiful weekend of weather, only marred for me by getting to work and finding out that my co-host for the evening has dropped out and the late replacement is…..Tikay.

     

    FML.

     

    So, it’s another 4 hours of Steptoe and Son tonight as we bring you a two-pronged attack. Firstly- the Sunday Roller and secondly- the 9pm UKOPS Super Satellite.

     

    Get yourself on to the baize in those for full coverage from us and don't forget to send us your hand i.d.s (and reasons) if you want us to specifically run through a hand of yours.

    The dumbest thing ever said

    It doesn’t matter whether you said it, or someone else said it to you. Everyone occasionally has a brain meltdown and says something stupid. A few years ago someone asked where pasta came from and I replied ‘from a plant’. Well, it's a bit like rice, isn’t it? Yep, I thought pasta grew on trees- feel free to flame me.

     

    I’ve got more dumb things that have been said to me too! So, let’s have yours!

    Hi guys just wondering what happens if you are playing 2 sats to the same ukops event and you sateilleit throught both of them or you play the super sat once you have a;ready qaulified and manage to win the smae seat twice. What would happen with this seat and is this possible.

    Also Binked a seat into UKOPS 7 last night due to alot of help on the river and the satiellites are incredible value for money 10 seats GTD at £110 a seat only 60 runners for £12 entry Ovelray?

    Would like to say well done to Julian and Happy Birthday to ! nice present eh ?

    Was watching the stream of the GUKPT final table and noticed he's incredibly quiet at the table when he plays just taking in what everyone else is doing which is something that i also do just a shame i can't play that well :( amazing achievement he deserves it :).

    Hi all.  Loving the show.  Oops it hasn't started yet.  Dumb thing for me to say!

    My advice on playing satillites I'm sure has been said time and time again.  You don't have to finish first!  You only have to finish in the top 10 or 20%, depending on the structure.  No need to take silly risks early and you have plenty of time to get chips.  The first thing I do is work out the average chips the qualifiers will have.  This gives you a chip level to play for.  Once you reach this, just shut up shop and maintain your chip level and you will qualify.

    As for dumb things said to me.  An ex of mine once looked out of a window at night and saw the moon reflected in two windows.  She looked at me and said "why are there two moons out tonight?"

    Hi Rich enjoy the show with you best budy Tikay,regarding the dumbest thing ever said, a few years ago there was an open day at our workplace.The people organising it kept promising they would have a celebrity to open the proceedings various names were mentioned but they struggled to book someone.

    Finally they came and announced that they had a confirmed booking and the celebrity was none other than Orville the duck.One of the guys said and he was being serious is it just Orville that is coming or is that guy he works with going to be there as well.

    WALKING PAST A CHURCH I TURNED ROUND TO WIFE AND AND KIDS AND SAID, I BET PEOPLE ARE DIE`ING TO GET IN THERE, JUST AS I SAID IT A FUNERAL PROCESSION WENT PASS AND PULLED INTO THE THE CHURCH WHILE WIFE AND KIDS WERE LAUGHING AT THE JOKE.

    managed to satellite into 4 so far probably going to try next week/weekend for the main event again and try wednesday for the double stack then thats me in everything bar the highroller going pretty good in the satellites so far

    never said anything that dumb as much as i can remember but done dumb stuff like walked into patio doors thinking they were open

    HAve a good show Rich & TK!  Dumb things....many years ago I was learning to drive in a dual-control car.  One lesson I brought my then girlfriend along.  When I said it was a dual-control car she said "Where is the other steering wheel?" needless to say she was blonde!

    Was talking to the_don90 this morning on MSN at 10am, asking how his poker had been this weekend.

    He said it'd been ok, he was waiting to get started on the grind this afternoon.

    I asked what he was waiting for, and why hadn't he started already?

    He said...

     At my local pub poker league, on a final table one night, one of the guys who was there made an interesting observation when the avg stack was about 5 BB.

    He said

    " The problem now is that if you go all in & you lose,..... you're out!"

    One of my blonde female friends was due to go to France using the channel Tunnel for the first time.

    She genuinely asked if there were windows in the tunnel so she could see the fish!

    Regarding stupidest things ever said, back at University I had to share the common room with all sorts of people of varying intelligence.  I did enjoy listening to a group of unique fellows attempting a game of Trivial Pursuit.  The question asked of one of them was 'Who sank in 1978, Oxford or Cambridge?'  After 5 minutes  of strained thinking and much heckling the rather agitated fellow suddenly screamed 'How should I know, I don't like Football.'

    regarding hand probably got paid max, although i probably raise flop, bet turn 3/400 then bet like 5/600 on river for value although way played is fine if you are unsure where you are
