FAO sky fun games

edited October 2011 in Poker Chat
My friends and i play a game called last team standing,Basically all players pick 1 team from the prem lge and it can be any team ,If they win you go onto week 2 etc etc etc until 1 team is left,You can only choose 1 team and once chosen you cant do this team again ie if you pick Man utd to beat Man city and it comes in you cant pick Man utd again etc,My point is would sky be interested in running this as it can last weeks and maybe giving away a prize to the winner or winners who has last team standing?

    What happens if u draw?

And how do you decide who gets which team? As all people will want the same 3 teams!

Only real downside is only 20 people can participate in it?

Draw your both out,You can pick any team but once you have you cant pick them again, You can have as many players as you like ie if theres 100 players and 60 of them pick liverpool to beat norwich and they dont 60 have fallen,If 30 pick utd and they draw or lose 30 go so on and so on until 1 team is left.

"LMS" are fun, & take place on many, even most, Poker Forums, but they usually involve each participant paying a fee, with the "Last Man Standing" winning the lot.

Would this be possible in any way to involve a fee?

I have seen this on a football forum.

It lasted one season due to the organiser getting tired of chasing people to pay up.

It's good when it works well, but you would have to be strict on everybody paying by a certain date or they're out.

Up to you, but not in a way that Sky Poker controlled, or somehow got involved in, no.

Acid-Man in his subsequent post explained it well, too.

On other Forums, we TX the cash to the organiser by Bank Transfer, with all the deets contained in PM's etc. It is a NIGHTMARE for the organiser though, chasing up money, & ensuring the weekly selections are received on time.

A typical LML would have 20 or 30 entrants all paying £20 up front by Bank TX.

Sounds like a real good idea. Would defo be interested, and why not include championship, division 1 teams etc.

I could write something so funny here... but i shall refrain.

With regards to the idea of the comp, i like things like this.
