I always pay for my refreshments at the cash Tables from my "stack", though in any half-decent establishment, drinks are free to cash game players. Soft drinks, of course, should be & usually are free to ALL players.

Not only is this hugely poor etiquette it's against the rules which is the be all and end all.  Well done winning 700 though.  If you're not comfortable playing after winning all that encase you loose it or get sloppy simply call it a night.  Gl at the tables

Some people seem to be getting ''weeding off'' confused with ''hit and run'' Weeding off is when you get say £100 up to £700 and then pocket £600 and try to sit back down with £100 again, this is horrible! If this was allowed you would get players all over the shop winning and reducing all the time. As for hitting and running, we've had this debate before, and it is not cheating, it isn't even bad etiquette imo, ive had it done on tables im at, a player sat for 10 minutes hits a massive hand and then leaves, no problem with me, after all i wouldn't have complained if i had won the hand and his chips and he didn't reload.

live is different its a no no tbh you shudnt be playing 1-1 cash live if you are a new live cash player (well done on ur win tho)

this really gets me tbh, the regs on here and elsewere generally speaking pass the money around depending on variance e.t.c and then make there money of the recreational players some of whom will double and leave straight away

this is there choice personally i dont find it morally wrong at all infact i take a far greater displeasure when i see a table full of regs taking a rich persons money at 2-5 when they are possibly drunk e.t.c a practice of which nothing is ever said

I played live CASH first time ever over the weekend, i was very drunk and mate was playing roulette Only smallball £40 buy in 50p/50p blinds, got up to £135 within the hour and as could do with money to pay for the night out around 10pm i text my mate to come get me so it doesn't look like i've hit and run. I'm pretty sure that if i just left after an hour without saying beforehand that i was playing for an hour then going out, surely if i just left that would have left a bad taste and people wouldnt be happy. I'm not to fussed about ppl being unhappy thats fine but surely its poor etiquette, do other people say that they're leaving soon? how long will they leave it or can you just leave? only asking for future reference ty

I think A) it's just bad etiquette and it would annoy me if someone did it at my table and
          it's a sure sign, you're not confident in your ability. If you're a good player then the more deep stacked you are, the better, the more speculative drawing hands you can play when you're getting the right odds cos you're deep enough to do it. If you pocket you're £600 profit and go back to £100, then you get AA and flop quads, and the other guy has £250 in front of him, aren't you gonna be majorly angry that the most you can get out of him is £100 cos you were playing scared?

if you sit with 100, go upto 700 then take 600 off, then you have just taken other peoples money off the table and have given them no chance to win it back, that is why its bad etiquette imo.

online ratholing/hit and running i would consider bad etiquette for the same reason
