DYM MADNESS

edited October 2011 in Poker Chat

last night i played a dym game, and watched a player lose to someone who is away.
the player who was away, was away from the start of the game, and never played a hand, so all the players had a chance to see that this player was away. the player who lost was on his left, therefor was picking up his  BB.
we were down to the last  4  and  the player who was away, was down to 20 chips, BUT THIS IDIOT WANTED TO PLAY AND IT WAS AGAINST THE BIG STACK all she had to do was fold and she would have won, i cannot understand why people do this, the object is to survive, 1 2 3 get paid the same,so why would they do it ?????
if sky want to i will get the game number and it can be shown on t.v. as a comedy show, i can just imagine TIKAYs comments,

Because without being nasty, they're morons lol...

I see it all the time, and it's great cos it means when you do get down to the bubble, if you happen to be the short stack, you don't always need to rush for that double up because of people like that.

I wouldn't complain or even bring it to anyone's attention. Ideal DYM opponent if you ask me!

what were the blinds and what did said player have left because if they only had about 5 bb and the 30 stack ends up winning and they have to see a whole round before they are in again and were also holding a premium hand there might be reason to do it. Generaly you would fold but unless we know there chip stack and blind sizes its hard to comment

Call me controversial, but there is a current member of TSP that did exactly this in a DYM a few months ago!
