Just wanna say (yes i know that there is a thread on spornybol) that ive had a real rubbish run at the tables lately , outdraws galore , yet when i want one it dont wanna happen

But when i read the thread that poor sporny had been taken ill like that so sudden it makes you realise that this IS just a game , a pastime , a bit of fun and as long as you have ure health then most other things dont really matter too much.

So gl to sporny and may my losses continue if they must , after all as i said its ONLY a game.

I, we all, want to make money at this. But I, for one, know that it's just a fun game that should be enjoyed for that and that alone at times. Good luck to the boys making serious money at it, it's a tough game. But life transcends that. And Sporny is one of the most full of life and lovable posters on here. All the best to him and can't wait to see his mis-spelt bad beat stories back amongst us. God speed your return to health spawny balls.

To add to the tale of woe, with OyNutter having major heart surgery yesterday, & sporny unwell, Michael (DTWBandit) is not too well again, either, & has been re-admitted to hossie. Heaven help anyone trying to tell me a poker bad beat tale today.....

Best wishes to all three for a quick & permanent recovery.

Btw I was Hospital for a few days so I paid for the internet, I thought I'll play a bit of poker.
Not like I am addicted is it ) But I was bored senseless.
So i booted up the internet and search Sky Poker "Site is blocked -Gambling-"
I was like what I am 39 years old

Moral of the story, well there isn't one

I've been feeling sorry for myself - poker is yuk and I've had an annoying tooth infection for nearly 2 weeks now - poor me ......... not really

Oynutflopper is recovering from major surgery, DTW and Sporny are both unwell and just to put it all in total perspective, yesterday I witnessed a young cyclist hit by a speeding sports car. I don't know the outcome but it looked grim.
 
Sometimes we all need to put things in the order they should be, not the order according to our own petty problems. 

A good wake-up call for all of us Debs - nice post.

yea very true we all feel sorry for ourselves including me but there are always worse things that can happen in life, and poker is our escape in some ways. It is easy to forget its only a game and we make the riskes by ourselves so the only one to answer for yourself is yourself. Always good to think positive not negative, thanks for reminding us debdobs

I for one hope Sporny gets well very soon not just for his cracking comments but he's also the only player I get futher than in Tourneys.

I can't really add much more except to say some of the posts I read on this forum give me a warm glow inside. To me the fact that this is a poker site where people are after taking your money but the sense of community far outweighs that is amazing.Thankyou Sky poker players for making it what it is and get well sporny, nutter and Michael.

thank you debs for making me think again about goodwill to all, given the state of the world at the moment.and the dog eat dog attitude most of us have.im thinking of these lads and wishing them a quick recovery.

We all sometimes get a little complacent and think we are hard done by and the whole world is against us from time to time. But its at times like these when we can get things back into perspective.

There is always someone worse off than us somewhere in this world, its just a pity we don't remember that, when we get annoyed about the smallest things in our own lives.
