So we liked spending four hours together so much we've decided to do it all over again tonight. Yep, it's Richard Orford and Carlo Citrone LIVE tonight on Sky Poker TV (Channel 865) from 9pm till 1am.
Don't forget, if you haven’t got Sky, or someone else in the household is monopolising it; you can always stream the live shows via the Sky Poker.com homepage.
On the agenda tonight-
Full coverage of The Sunday Roller, the 9pm UKOPS Super Sat and, if it's still going, live updates from the final table of SPT Leg 1
No guest tonight and with many of our regulars still up in Nottingham playing on the tour, Carlo and I will really need your input to make the show fly.
So, here's your topics...
with the clocks going back an hour today we ask...
(1) What's your best time to play poker?
Is there a particular part of the day that suits your temperament? Are you a morning person? Do you like to unwind after work for an hour? Or have you got it narrowed down to 3am-4am as your optimum time to be on the baize? And what about generally over the year? Do you do better in the summer months or in the winter? In short, does WHEN you play poker have any affect on your success at it?
And...
with Carlo haveing pledged to grow a moustache during November for charity as part of the Movember challenge. We ask...
(2) What's the most embarrassing hairstyle, facial hair, fashion faux pas?
What's the worst style crime you've ever committed? Did you once sport a mullet/ or, if you're a lady, have you only just get shot of the Rachel cut? Bad sideburns? Big flares? Tell us all and, ideally, email us a photo on skyopen@bsky.com.
AND- we'd love to have some of you on the phone tonight.
So email us your phone number and we'll select 3 of you to be on the show totake part in our brand new comedy competiton. All you'll need to do is identity a mystery object within 60 seconds by asking Carlo 'yes' or 'no questions
Looking forward to 'seeing’ you all at 9pm!
Should be fun! See you there!

(2) Ive always liked card games from a very young age but it was hubby who got me into poker and watching CH865 with him.
2:- Always liked card games, unfortunately I love gambling, and also interested in how the human mind works and psychology, hence poker is the PERFECT game for me!
(1) Why do you think you're a better cash player than tourney player? (or vice versa)
I'd say I'm a better cash player than a tourney player because I'm very patient and can generally maintain my good solid game for long periods of time. When you are always at least 100BB deep and you always have the option to top up if you fall below, you can just take your time and wait for good spots. I don't think tourney's(non-deepstacks) suit me quite as well when you gotta get involved more and not let yourself get blinded out.
(2) What is it about you that makes you so attracted to poker?
I think originally the thing that attracted me to poker honestly, was the opportunity to win very decent amounts of money for playing a very fun game, sadly I aint made any massive wins yet lol but I have pocketed winnings of a few hundred over the years and I'm still playing so it's not all bad
I really am not a gambler and would not even consider playing any game that is pure luck (roulette etc), I dont even see how people can bet on things like horseracing (but apparently plent of people like Channing have done well at it), so I am definitely not a gambler in things that are largely luck, and that's why it frustrates me when people (like my mum) say I shouldnt play cos 'it's all luck' because if it was I wouldn't play the game.
Paul
Just not many of them!
Come on where's the rest of you? It;s almost as if you're all at an SPT leg or something. Oh wait...
OK, I'm getting out the big guns now. I'm resurrecting Orford's Disastermind tonight. So I need 3 players up for answering general knowledge questions in 30 seconds over the phone. Best score wins entry into a UKOPS satellite.
Drop us yor contact number for this evening on an email to skyopen@bskyb.com if you'd like to play live on the show tonight. :-)
1.
I think i'm a better cash game player than I am a tournament player because I sometimes struggle to be able to change gears at the right time. I'm fine if I've got a nice sized chipstack or a short stack, but if i'm in the middle stack wise I tend to sit too tight.
I also get bored really easily when the tournament is at that stage when we don't see a flop for an hour.
2. What makes me so interested in poker ? tbh i've never really thought too much about this until now.
I've always enjoyed card games ever since we always used to play them on family holidays.
Poker itself is probably the most enjoyable for me because there's an element of skill involved. It's also a game that seems so simple but when you start learning more about the game you realise it's quite complex.
You never stop learning either which I enjoy.
I think I'm a better tourny player than cash player as I'm not much or a grinder. I prefer the blinds going up and up and the knowledge that you have to start accumulating chips sometime and you can't just wait and wait for the big hands like you can on some cash tables.
I love playing poker as I'm a statistics geek at heart and I love working out the odds of hitting my draws and trying to make sure that I never give my opponant the right odds to call against me. Its also a game that young can play against old and anyone can beat anyone else on any given day. All they need is a lucky 3 of clubs on the river or flop the odd flush! Isn't that right Richard???? Anyway, I'm saving all my luck for Thursday lol.
R.I.P Sir James of Saville. Legend

today is my first time back at the cash tables in a couple of months, and ive taken a few hits today, so i was may be being over cautious there to be honest. But i folded because i didnt think jaxonray would bet a busted flush draw or bluff me in that spot. I had him on 2 pair at least. also didnt think he would vb worse than my hand AJ
believe me ive made some bad calls today to balance that out lol
cheers
2) First thing that attracted me to the game was it was new and different to everything else and obviously involved possibly winning money
Carl.
In Response to The weekend live on 865 with Rich and Carlo ***official show thread***:
Ive only been playing poker for just over 2 months but have found it so addictive. I won the first game of holdem I ever played - (tourney i entered in a pub - 20 players), by sheer fluke - i literally tried to learn as I played and had to keep asking about the betting - they must have wanted to batter me!! The next week I went out with JJJAA to AAAJJ but since then (8 weeks ago) I have managed to get to a play off for the regional finals.I joined sky poker just over a month ago and bizzarely won my first online game (£250 guaranteed - 44 players) and from that point I was hooked.
Have played most nights since (only small stuff no more than £5.50 buy in but I am still learning) and have reached final table about 5 times and can generally make top 15%.
Apologies for lengthy background but key things i have learnt/love about the game;
*Fantastic game of strategy - analogy of boxing springs to mind knock out or be knocked out
*Adrenalin rush on big hands - thought I have been on verge of heart attacks at times!!
*Ego booster when you know that 100's people trying to take you out in tourney but you make it to cash levels/final table
*Hours of entertainment - concentration and patience so important
*Getting away with a blag is always satisfying but teaches you lessons when it fails
*No one is invincible especially yourself and although it hurts when you lose a nut flush to a straight flush you have still learnt and improved your game
* Brings communities of people together
I could go on -What a fantastic game.
this hand should be good to analyse and see what they had!431155744
Really enjoyed the Orford Disastermind tonight. Looks like I'm in good shape for the win, but lets hope I aint spoke too soon.
Just out of interest, did you read out my answers to the 2 questions tonight cos I missed the first half hour of the show?
#431077500
#431070292
#431161977
and my personal favourite: #431058696 (4 2 o v A 7s - pair of 4's seals the deal)
Worth mentioning that if any of these went against me (I obviously wasn't expecting a call with 4 2o) I would be sitting here waiting for that string of luck needed to win another MTT. There is a bit of skill and perception of opponents required in choosing your moments - I don't mention all the AQ, AJ, JJ hands I folded preflop...
The JJ v AA that cost me the 250gtd:
#431157736...or the flopped set that, with a sense of inevitability, lost to a runner runner 4 card flush on the board... yes I called, I had pot odds!
PS: Here's my sit and go anthology favourites:
#430915891 (K3 v AJ AIPF - makes FH with 3's and 4's)#430946633#430932963 (A7 v AJ AIPF - hit trip 7s)
#430919837 (66 v JJ - 6 makes flush to crush Jack's dreams)
I think if myself as a decent stt player, much better than cash. I just can't get to grips with cash, after numerous tries it just seems its not for me. Maybe i need to change my mental attitude ! Luckily i do ok playing just STT's, well DYM's !
The thing that attracts me to playing poker is making money, and (possibly more importantly) winning.
I am super competative , and just love winning.
To follow up lamberts post, i am the complete opposite, i love betting on pretty much anything !
p.s great show as per.
