Why doesnt the prizepool show the full £20k? is it standard for guarantees to not show up in the blinds and prize structure bit? theres 150 odd registered but only 12k~ in the pool.

? mine shows 11950 cash prize pool 8050 heads prize pool
they probably had a rethink and realised that scrapping the normal mains would not go down well with casual players who don't have 200 quids spare to lump on a poker tournie and if they couldn't play their normal games they would go elsewhere.

That and it helps if new players attracted by the UKOPS see regular 300+ runner MTTs going as well.
Shame Sky didn't commit to this series by televising it all week. Once upon a time the velocity was televised live twice a week, not a 20,000GTD tourney gets ignored by Sky TV. Commit to the series next time, eh?

It's pretty hard not to bite at such ill-informed & patronising coments, Graham, but I won't! I have asked a question of your similar comment on another thread.
"Committing" to UKOPs is rather more than "just" TV, & the Company has wholly & totally commiteed to UKOPS, & I thought the manner in which the satellites were priced & designed to ensure ALL players got a shot at UKOPS, was particularly meritworthy.
We had numerous Meetings to debate whether TV coverage was needed, or commercially justifiable. A decision was made eventually, but I hardly think this merits a suggestionn that Sky Poker have not properly committed to UKOPS. You cannot begin to be aware of how much committment has gone into UKOPs by all of us.
I would respectfully suggest that the lack of TV coverage did not seem to adversely affect the numbers who played last night.

Graham I used to play poker on FullTilt. Did they ever televise a tournament? NO! Did they ever support the community like SkyPoker do? NO! I also played on Titan Poker. Television? They have never heard of it and they couldn't support the community because there wasn't one. At least Sky are moving in the right direction and if they continue with UKOPS it will get bigger and better then maybe you will get blanket coverage
I have replied to Tikay in the other thread. One of the big selling points of Sky is the possibility of seeing your hands on TV. I know that's part of what got me hooked. I understand that a night of 4 hours of live TV is expensive, but this is sold as the UK Online Poker Series, and I'd have thought that Sky would televise it all. I am thrilled that the tournament was way over the GTD prize-pool, and don't mean to detract from the overall success of the whole venture. Let's hope the next 6 days go aw well as day 1. Day 2 - Omaha rebuy. Hmmm, see you all in day 3 guys <grin />

think it will easily make the guarantee with 2hrs 40mins to go and still tonnes of satellites running
easily
mine shows 11950 cash prize pool
8050 heads prize pool
thats 20k
257!
It is well north of it's Guarantee with an hour still to go.
So the answer is "yes"........
lol.
