edited November 2011 in The Poker Clinic
Pre standard, flop not sure should I cbet this 4-way ?

X is pretty standard station, limp/calls every hand preflop, hadn't seen this sort of move before from them.

Easy fold, you're better off kissing the quid you've already committed goodbye, it ain't worth half your stack on this hand, if he/she is a calling station like you say, and this is not normally their play, it's better to wait for a better opportunity

fold for me depends on his play style, but you can get him when you know you are ahead and not just guessing so a fold isnt a bad desision here go with your gut and whether you mind losing half your stack, how much do you like to gamble? he could have any pk pair overs a set, 45 for the st8, AJ or nothing is it really worth it? theres too much he could have so def not! Also would raise more pre as if your gonna play mid pk pair your bound to get over cards so if he bets the pot are you gonna fold then on the flop if so why play them in the first place unless your just hoping to bomb a set your self. Bet the flop if he has J he will re raise so Represent you have bigger if you play a mid pk pair so if you dont hit a set you still look strong. If he makes that move then, you can have a better idea of what he has, would he just flat pre for 30p holding AJ or a pk pair themself? i think he had the st8 and knew it was disguised and you would be calling with AJ or flush drawing hands.
