DAM I HAD A FLUSH THERE LOL

i would have just bet 3x bb out of position here then maybe put in around 250-400 bet on the flop. No point commiting your self with air! find out where you are on that flop, you prob are ahead after your raise pre that big unless hes holding a pk pair or has hit his set so see if he reraises and as he calls, hes either on a flush draw or has 2 overs AJ or AQ, he would be reraising a pair i think as he wont want to give you a free flushing card or a chance to hit over cards, So when the J heart comes your AK is looking pretty dire at this point so either put in another bet of around 800 or more or check it to slow the action, hes reraised you all in so obv he has the flush or AJ here. I think you prob put your poker blinkers on and convinced your self you were ahead because of your big raise pre and 1 more heart and you have the k high flush and 2 overs. Either way you have commited yourself at this point against a big stack and have to see what range hes shoving with he could have A hearts with the J. i would have folded the turn and wait for a better spot. by you betting the turn 1800 chips he knows you are gonna call as your then pot commited and prob thinks you have hit the J yourself.

Still Nothing wrong with your play up until the turn where you called.

against a station I prob check turn

Havent worked it out properly but you may be able to b/f if you bet smaller.

That's it I wasn't sure what I could bet then fold, maybe ~900 but I felt stronger bet is more likely to get a fold from medium pairs/8x's and once I bet that much I couldn't see how I could fold.

I think you need at least 3/1 to make that call, if you bet like 1400 you can prob b/f

you def have to fire another bullet on the turn i think or he would smell weakness and bet over the top of you if you did that, so i dont think a check would of helped you out here and you could be folding to a bluff. As you said 900 would of been about right and you still have a big enough stack play a few more hands. If he calls the 900 check the river if he reraises you after you bet 900 fold.
