Gonna get ya

Played on here a while now, im not the best im not the worst, knocked out some good players and been knocked out by some bad players, but what is it with about 5players i come across that no matter what i do or how i play they always end up with a big grin and my chips?

Do they just have me read?

Do i get nervous when they come in and play bad?

Am i trying to get revenge?

Should i just accept they are better?

i wont name the players that do this to me but you know who you are!

I think the're always players who have got your number. I know I have some.

It can be physcological so after having several run ins with them, you just get into the mindset that they will beat you.

I tend to just keep clear of their tables where possible.

i to have about 6 players i come unstuck against, 2 i know are much better than me ( at the mo), 2 i think style of game clashes ie tight aggresive v tight passive, and 2 are just dam lucky( you know who you are), i think in all sports/ games you get these type of people, like hale says, try and stay away

Like both yourself and Hale i have players who beat me no matter what,

Like Hale said best to just avoid. However if you do happen to be on a table with them you may find they will have a weakness (chances are they know yours) so you need to find theres. Hard i know, but some players will be easier than others.

Thx for the advice but keeping away from them is impossible in MTT's and if they come into a cash game and i leave i feel like im running away from a fight

Should a fighter run away? i could get a lucky punch in

There are a few tournament specialists on this site and the general advice is to keep out of their way. Let one of the wild players bust them.

I always try to find a table with players that I know on it in cash.
At least I have an idea on there playing style and have a chance.
If new players come in and change the dynamics of the tables I leave very quickly.

D amn now everyone knows your one of em! lol

Stayed away from cash lately so its a tough choice whether to go into a donk tournament or sit with the big guys as you think they will at least play sensible poker

Seems you have to play with them to gain experience which will cost you money in the short term but should make you a better player so you make money in the long term?
