Raise much bigger pre, looks like you've 3x it here which is super bad in SB I make it at least 5x probably 6x so £2.40.

Flop why aren't you cbetting, I know it's 20-way due to your awful sizing pre but you still gotta bet surely ?

As played I probz fold to that crazy overbet as it looks like he wants paying, obvz once you then minraise him you can't fold to other guys all in, maybe you can but not sure it would be good to put half your stack in and fold.

Overall preflop make it BIG, jeez this is NL40 and you have two limpers in LP, good grief.

I got to where you made it £1 pre after the limps and shouted yes :p

i have found nl40 a little more subtle than 5x pre most of the play comes further down the streets. it played out perfect against the others so maybe a bit bigger pre woulda got the 35 outta there. learning curve this lol#

LOL forget subtle, they have OPEN LIMPED, I'll say it again OPEN LIMPED, meaning imo they are STATIONS and what do stations do they CALL, so when they call 3x why wouldn't they call 5x/6x ?

Also you don't want 35 to fold you just want at least one other to fold, playing AA 4-way imo is not gonna work out very well longterm whereas heads up or 3-way is much better.

Subtle isnt the issue here bud.  As much as we love A's we definately dont want to go multiway.

I subscribe to the line "Push as much across the line as you can with one caller".

For me, I make it £2.4.

Honestly bud, if your going to make it £1, you may aswell limp along.  Look to flop a whopper or auto fold most boards (if your enticing many in).  Just keep them allin in that instance, but being content to lose the min or just fold action heavy boards

deffo raise bigger pre i would make it £2 u wouldnt get the 3 5 calling u then little things like this make a big difference because your small raise started to make this a huge pot and aa is just 1 pair

The mistake was pre flop and it ultimately cost you your stack.

Defo make it 3xbb +1 for every limper which would make it £2.20 i think, i may even add one more just for value. I even prefer shoving pre rather than the min raise to see if you can dupe someone in to thinking you are squeezing.

Just because it is NL40 doesnt mean you can price players in. If they all fold, you win a small pot, as it is, you price them in due to a mistake pre flop in your betsizing and its cost you alot. I understand balancing your play, but as AMYBR says you may as well limp along as a disguise if your going to do that.

your all right i know, taking that little blighter out and it was quids in!!!
  • edited November 2011
No, you don't want a guy sat 100+bb deep to fold 35, you WANT him to call all day long, just not 2 other players too.
  • edited November 2011
but if i raise it 5x he is going to go away dude .
  • edited November 2011
U can make it as much as u want pre.

    Bet flop also.
  • edited November 2011

definately too weak pre, your literally saying 'hey, all call this raise plz', do this with hands that can flop massive, not with hands that rarely improve.

given the action pre flop I would be seriously considering folding to the big flop overbet.

raise pre for value - simples

    Are you sure this isn't NL4 D

Out of interest is this your usual raise size in this sitution with all hands after 2 limps as if it is it's seems a pretty massive leak to me.

Obv much bigger pre , you only want the 3 5 to go away IF he is gonna hit ;))

I would 4x open from small blind, add 1BB for each limper so 2.40 here. Sizing isnt as bad as others have said imo as both limpers are short and we want callers

I dont see much reason to c/r flop. Nothng better ever folds and it can easily get checked through. Also c/r overreps your hand in this spot imo multiway on that kind of board. Just bet.

As played fold, you are very rarely ahead when he crai over a 2xpot bet and a c/r unless you have a read he is a complete fish
