I would be very tempted to jam pre

    bet flop

as played fold when he jams over a bet and a shove in a limped pot

Unlucky dude. Nothing you can do. You have 15BBs left so it's too much to just shove from the big blind and pick up 2.5BBs from the limpers. When you check and make trips you should be thinking about how to get your stack in not whether or not to get your stack in. Checking the flop is fine because anyone without an eight will likely fold to that flop. Once there is a straight draw and a flush draw out there on the turn then I would just ship it all in.

Seriously when you are 15BBs deep and you flop trips you can't really do anything else but go broke if the other guy has a better kicker. Just run better

Thanx chaps. not sure that i should jam pre, thought i`d see a flop,

When flop came down. thought i was good.

    Just got unlucky eh />>>????

i actually like the idea of the squeeze pre, the only prob is its a bh we likley get called by A8 anyways.

post flop i probably bet flop as played. However v this over bet shove suddenly im in FML mode and i dont see anything i beat really.

Another hand where we get unlucky cos we got to see a free flop. Limping with A8off is very poor, and his poor play was ur downfall. If he raised pre (which he should of done, or got out the way) then you would never of found yourself in that spot, cos you obviously would of folded.

I would of probably bet flop, but either way, i dont think you can ever get away from that flop.

Without knowing anything about this player though, im not sure he is 4-betting with a worse hand than yours. If you made the raise slightly smaller, then you may have got out of the way to a shove??
