Get there! Get there! fist pump

Had this player on my radar as a possible station but who can fold a hand on the river. So after he calls my bet on the turn I'm just praying for a five or a spade to give him the hand he wants as I can't put him on a made hand on this board unless he had A5 and surely he would c/r me.

Just a point that I spent 3 hours last night grinding NL8 4 tables and made £1.25. This morning I played NL4 for an hour and made £12. NL8 is pointless

Lol, great thread title, hate the hand.

Never raise threes there, especially at micro stakes.

Dont you know that 234 flop is villain A5 virtually every time?

    NH :)

With all players at the table with a full stack I think it's worth making a smaller than normal raise pre. My plan is always to check/fold if no set comes. But making a small raise pre starts the process of building the pot and at NL4 you hardly ever get 3-bet so it's an easy fold if I do. Add the fact that I never ever limp pre with anything else if I start limping with small pairs then any observant player can work it out.

But mostly it's a raise for value. A set is a golden oppertunity to stack someone at NL4 so it's worth 3-4 big blinds to do so. If I limp then it just makes it harder to do so

    Fair enough bud.

I think that you are most likely right :)
