edited October 2009 in Poker Chat
Do you prefer live play or online play? and why?

    Live for me

Online is just a video game.

Would have to say online, purely because i've never played live. The wife qualified for Best of British on Paradise Poker 2 years ago. Free weekend in London, great atmosphere, playing poker in a club above a gay bar in Soho and the final table at the top of Tower Bridge on the evening awesome.

i only play "live", with mates, and most are idiots who dont care if they win or lose,it is there for impossable to read them. it is annoying how you cant see anything online, you have to leave it down to how long the person takes to play their cards to read them. maybe 1 day in the future, they could make webcam games, so u see a small window 4 each player, showing them at home.

i play live every 4 weeks with my mates, an we have started a points based tournament called the " River Rat Monthly " we all pay in a set amount each time and at the end of the year the money in the pot is paying for us all to go to the casino and enter the tournament up there. Funny or not we take it very seriously because we then have the bragging rights for that period :)

I havent voted because both have there benefits, nothing beats playing live saying those famous words "all in" and oushing your chips into the middle.

Online is great becuas eonce ive gone all in and been knocked out I can go onto another toruyn pretty much straight away

    I'm safer with ONLINE play.

That way only my neighbours down the street (and maybe Torryladd 3 miles down the road) get to hear me express my "concern" at the manner of play of my opponents ........ or if the table cards give them the benefit of a bad call!

I will admit that my repertoire of abusive and expletive suggestions is not only colourful but also wide ranging

I am not the best at hiding my feelings.  'Mike the Mouth?'  meet 'Broxi the Bullhorn'

Online for me - much more comfortable. I do love the challenge when playing live though.
