I don't have a clue what Josh30 is doing there, besides giving chips away, lol.

However, I doubt the other guy would be 5-betting you after you've raised UTG unless they've got a premium hand themselves. You can pretty much put the opponent on QQ, KK, AA or AK, queens are very unlikely, AK you're racing, AA and KK are crushing you.

You're 50/50 at best, probably much worse if you go all in pre-flop, so I think you're right to fold here.

its ok saying you can put him on AA or KK etc etc but the majority of people dont think lke that, they see an ace and go for it, i have just gone out of a bounty hunter with QQ. I re raise a guy by 4 times his original raise, he still calls with A 9. I raise the flop and he goes all in and hits his ACE on the river and im out,,,,evaluate all you want but the idiots will never go away!! online poker is a lottery!!!

That's what notes are for. Assume everyone is a decent player until you know otherwise, then make notes when he calls you with junk :)

why 4 bet if your willing to bluff that dnt make sense its like your turning your hand into a bluff and qq is massive here
  • edited December 2011
4bet bigger, then get it in. Unless he is the biggest nit in nitsville
  • edited December 2011
soz i meant why 4 bet if ya willing to fold
  • edited December 2011
QQ  is not massive in a deep stack imo

My main concern was Josh30. He had called 5 bets. If it had been two handed I think I might have shoved on music1. As it was Josh30 wasn't going anywhere.

Concerning notes, I didn't have time to make any as this was only the fourth hand in a deep stack tournament.

i dont know why ya 4 bet tho i would of played it cute and called the raise and if a or k flops u lose the minimum
  • edited December 2011
I think that is a very good fold WP! You are facing AA if music1 had KK he would be looking for a C/R with a set.

Sorry, I've only just realised how deep the stacks are for the blind levels, didn't read the OP properly lol. Yeah I think you can fold here, just cos it's so early on in a DS and you're not gonna be in great shape here against someone willing to put 125BBs into the pot pre (if they called your shove)

Never folding, but i would prob flat the re-raise. As you are deep, there is no need to get it all-in, which is why you shouldnt of 4-bet folded.

As its so early, you prob dont have much of a read on music, but i dont think you can just chuck QQ away so easily imo.

I have to disagree with you ricky m8, early stages so why chase when you are most likely behind fold and find a better spot to spend your stack on.
