What do you need to know?
col
I wasnt sure if the info confirmed any other details that we needed but if its just as you say thats fine
There will be a SPT welcome desk in reception. When you arrive report there and you'll be given a name badge. I'll have a list with real names and Sky Aliases on. I'll cross reference that with your photographic ID you need to bring if I have to. However I am sure my colleagues will know most of you, even if I don't
Mind you I was doing an event about three years ago for blonde Poker. I didn't know anyone, having only conversed online. I walked up to two big Caribbean gentlemen near the entrance, all bling, muscles and steroids and enquired "are you blondes..."
Thier looks could have melted ice. I slunk way quickly......
Do you need photo ID at all of the casino,s that the SPT is going to?
Unfortunately, now that I know, I won,t able to attend , no photo ID, rats
Most - but not all - Casinos demand Photo ID (Passport, or Driving Licence) to gain admission. It's a requirement of the Casinos rather than the law, but them's the Rules, & it's certainly the case in ALL Grosvenor's & Aspers Venues.
It may - may - not be the case in the Alea Glasgow, but we'll make players aware of that nearer the time.
In the recent past, Casinos operated by LCI (London Clubs International) have a "walk straight in" Policy - no Membership, no ID required. Alea is owned by LCI, who in turn are owned by Harrahs. LCI Casinos in the UK include the ALEA's in Glasgow, Nottingham, & Leeds, the Brighton & Southend Rendezvous's, & The Empire in Leicester Square.
So, yes, so far as it affects the SPT, Photo ID for all Grosvenor & Asper Casinos, & for the DTD Grand Final, but I'm not sure about ALEA Glasgow.
It'd be simply great to see you at one or more of the SPT's.
Thanks for the info m8, apreciated, obviously the one closest to me DTD would have to have been the one I was going to go for, but, having no photo ID, curses foiled again looks like I will never get to meet you all, oh well I know you will all enjoy yourselves, gl all in Man and the following legs peeps
Lol was writing my post when you added yours, I know Naps accept a utility bill and bankcard as proof of ID, so maybe, just maybe, fingers crossed, obviously I would love to meet you all.
Registration:
Registration will take place on the day and is available 24/7 and we encourage Sky Poker players to register as early as possible.
Players can leave the venue after registration but we encourage you to be back in your allocated seats by 1.45pm (for a 2.00pm start). However, it is not obligatory to be in your seat at the start of the event.
Please note that any friends or family members that wish to accompany you into the Casino will also have to complete a Casino Member Application Form.
Registration is only available to individuals aged 18 years of age and older, with a valid proof of identification.
Please bring a valid Passport or Drivers License. If you do not have one of those, then a credit card AND recent utility bill will suffice. Your guests will also need to bring a similar proof of identity.
If you cannot present valid identification to the Casino, you will not be allowed to enter the premises.
Online registration beforehand at http://www.gcasino.co.uk/manchester/ may save you some time
I have checked this with the venue today and they say two forms of non Photo ID, if recent, such as a bank bill and a utility bill, are acceptable if no Photo ID is available
No getting out of it now then Barry.. You will have to finally meet us all :-)
Yes im playing Friday, come find me ill buy you a drink for all the railing you do for me
