Another PL Omaha Hand

edited December 2011 in The Poker Clinic

Again, have I overplayed this or was I right to want to build the pot and get my chips in, this was the cash bubble of the tourney, the OP had beed crushing the table and in my opinion running a little lucky.

In all honestey, I think I played this bad, I think that flop should have stopped me in my tracks but metally I was already committed to the hand

I think you were right to raise pre to build up the pot because you have a good hand( would be better if the J was a spade but you cant have everything).

When that flop falls you have to take a serious look at it and realise you have no hand and no draw. You have to ignore the overpair because it is worthless and you are not beating anything because even 67 is beating you. On that flop what you need to be doing is either weak bet/folding or check foling.

Raisning pre and big c-betting automatically is a bad tactic to use in omaha because it tends to lead to the winning of small pots or the losing of big pots.

aa j3 isnt a great hand i see so many people get maried to aa in omaha i like to see as many flops as possible because any 4 cards in omaha is ok i hate the lead out on the flop because u have commited your stack when vlllain goes all in i think u have overplayed it aa is only 1 pair and 1 pair never wins i n omaha your only liking this hand if a flops if it donty hard to see how your ever ahead
