Id of Min bet the flop to look like you were getting in cheap to draw a flush rather than flopping one.
Sometimes that induces a re-raise if they caught a piece of it to block you off.

Better to lead looking for action from 1prs and high diamond hands.  Repping draws and cbets when leading.  Think you'd simply arouse suspicion with other lines.

Looks like they might have had overcards before the flop calling you or were they calling stations?

A smaller bet to allow them to catch up a bit could have been worth it especially with the nuts as you couldn't be worried about too much here. If it paired up on the turn then get busy trying to take it down if you can see them calling pre-flop with connectors or rubbish from past hands
