edited December 2011 in The Poker Clinic
Alot of draws that could have got there, but the check looks weak, no reads or notes on the player

shove turn. If not, definitely get the rest in on the river. Please don't take offence but I'm shocked you're asking this cos you're a good MTTer...far better than me anyway!

    hells yes.

Flop raise looks so strong btw.  Think you can make it more, getting called without it looking so valuetowned.

As played shove turn, hes never lead pot folding.

When we say "Shove turn" are we talking with hindsight as we know he has 2 pair, myself I would be shoving the turn as to protect my set but often over play a set getting caught on the river when the board is so str8/flushy as this is, so my question is; ... is Slkyllist pot control/passive play a better one long term?????

I appreciate the compliment mate, but as soon as you think you have it cracked and stop questioning your play is when you stop improving.

This site and the forums in particular have helped me improve my game soooooo much this year so I'll keep on posting and taking the advice onboard.

Oh and just as a complete Brag...... I did go on to win the tourney :)

Well done m8! And this adds to my point I made in this thread about your cautious play being better long term than blind aggression?

    Results Orientated FTW!

Just cos he wont the tourney does not make this a good play long term. The only hands that are beating him on the turn at J9, AJ and set of Ks or Qs,  which is a pretty small amount of his range (and I don't believe he plays KK/QQ like this). There's no way he can get rid of this hand now with what's in the pot and what he's got left behind.

    Gotta get it in!
