DYM Bubble, one guy had about 6k, the other had 3.5k or so. This was the 3rd successive orbit in which I'd shoved into the big blind, all 3 times I had junk, although I hadn't been pinching blinds before then. Should I have just folded once or twice to make this move more believable rather than just shoving any two, or is it just a case of both of us were so short stacked that it was obvious that one of us was going to be the bubble? Is the call by the opponent with K9 a good read or an awful call?

Interestingly, a few hands earlier Eddie2 shoved from the SB with around 7k chips, Moony called with JJ and Eddie turned over T3s. I had noted previously that Eddie2 showed a lack of awareness of other players chip stacks, and that he could just fold and cash in these spots rather than making unnecessary moves, so would folding and letting him get knocked out shoving into Bigal have maybe been a better option?

EDIT: See post below for T3 vs. JJ hand.

Its not a bad shove mate but id of held on a little longer, matey on your left was down to 7 bigs so you had a bit of room to find a better situation.

i actually know one of your opponents and would be licking my lips at seeing them in this situation. tbh i dont mind your shove but as youve said youve shoved this spot alot i probably just let this one pass by and try knicking someone elses blinds.

i dislike the K9 call tbh though in this situation but going to happen

what stake of dym was this

3rd blind vs blind shove in a row?

    good call by bigal imo

fwiw its worth if moony had <10bb's the blind vs blind shove by eddie is ok..ish, (has more use it an mtt situation with antes) - moony can only call with say top 10% of hands, so 90% of the time he takes down 75+150 chips, 10% of the time he loses <1500, so its marginally cEV+ to do this ( the nittier the villain the more cEV+ this is)

In most scenrios/tournys, its good/standard play by both.

Not sure with the dym dynamic though.

You have 10bbs so are essentially pretty safe in DYM format but you're shoving into the shortest stack who is potentially volatile and can make A2/A3 calls etc and even K9 lol so I'd just fold, if I had less or same as him in this spot I defo shove.

Also if I have 3rd biggest stack say 2000 in BB I defo shove as he is VERY safe and needs a monster to call.

I prefer to fold in your spot really, because he will need to shove soon anyway and K9 is a good enough hand to do it with imo.

but i would prefer him to be shoving into one of the big stacks tho, as they are more likely to call. shoving into the shortie with K6 is more than likely only ever getting called by a better hand. but the bigger stacks are more likely to call with worse (if u get wot i mean).
