edited December 2011 in The Poker Clinic
99.9% sure I was right to fold here but just thought I'd post it in here and double check. £3.30 DYM

Only called pre flop because it was so cheap, and they're connected, worth a look for 20 chips. Usually, I either hit the flop pretty hard and get paid, or fold and only lose 20 chips. I'm not about to throw my chips away if I hit middle pair or something with that hand.

Reason for re-raising is that I'm not giving him credit for a straight or flush just because he's bet 3/4 pot. If I folded top 2 pair to a bet every time that there was a possible straight or flush out there, I'd lose my entire bankroll pretty quickly. As soon as the guy behind calls and the original raiser shoves, I figured that I'm either a mile behind already, or I win the hand less than 55% of the time with the amount of draws out there which would make calling the shove in that spot a losing play in DYM's over time. Was amazed to see the guy who called me then fold to the all in tbh.

You gloss over the pre flop action, but thats by far the biggest mistake you made in this hand.

Get calling with this kinda hand, in this kinda spot, in this kinda game well n trully out of your head!

    Big NoNo!

Read JC's blog, in first two levels he advises only playing JJ+/AK and I agree with him, only exception to this is small pairs where you can hit set and ususally double or get a lot of chips, 75o is just plain awful to call with in ANY game OOP pre but a DYM it's just scary.

I am folding 75off to any raise. But if I had called, the flush possibility is too great to continue.

its is a fold pre but would most of u actually fold your big blind with 20 and its only 20 to call easy to say fold when we see this but if yyour actually playing would u do it i dont think i would for extra 20 but these kind of hands get u in bad spots i dont think u have played it badly the way i would of played it i know we hate the term but u raised to see where u are and u got the info u need when villain goes all in so now i would fold u still have a decnt stack to easy cash just play tight and pick ya spots in future
