£1.05 Hyper HU facing limp/shove - Call?

edited January 2012 in The Poker Clinic
I'm a newbie to the turbo/hyper HU games, so this might be a really stupid question. Thought that HU, I've got a pocket pair, I want to get my money in with this hand. Opponent's line confused me, but decided to go for it and hope I'm racing, if I lose it's still not the end of the world.

Can see I'm miles ahead this time, but am I usually behind here with 77?

    Yeah baby! get it in!

Had virtually the exact same situation right from the go in a Hyper tonight, only I had 99 and he had 88. I don't think you can be folding these spots. People play so wild in these that you're so likely gonna be flipping (marginally in your favour) and occasionally better than flipping aganist rag Aces and I've even seen this kinda thing with rag Kings, assuming you're playing at the same low levels as me (£3.15s ish)
