    I have made 100 Leukaemia ribbons made for Lynne aka Dragonfli for people to wear in remembrance at SPT Luton should they wish to do so. 





    I'll send them down with one of my TKPers and Tikay will put them on the registration desk. 

    A min donation of £1 per ribbon will be requested with all donated monies going to Dragonfli's charity at the end of the event. 

    RIP Lynne - you will be missed.

    Dave (Hitman), Maxally, Dollie and myself all attended Lynne's funeral this morning. It was a lovely service and very well attended with standing room only at the back. There were a number of poker people there besides ourselves. UK Sharks had a small contingent there (nice to put names to faces) and some folk from the live scene that Lynne and Ian frequented also attended. There are some piccy's to follow which were taken after the service, of Dave, Max, Dollie and myself. These were taken in a greengocer shop ( Dave knows some very odd cafe's) and I can confirm that Max almost got a round in. Even though it was such a sad occassion it was nice to meet the guys, and to realise just how old Dollie really is.

    Lynne was a lovely lady who showed how to rise above adversity.  She will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her

It's a comforting thought that a few of the old Sky regs where able to to attend. You guys are a credit to the forum and  the SKY community. Paul

    A sad day, but a celebration of Lynnes life, she was great fun at the poker table and will be missed at SPTs

    Pifff....I am only 36! ffs. All the other 3 are twice as old as that, and in Elsadog's case....3 times as.

    Just to re-iterate what has been already said, it was a very fitting tribute to Lynne's life and it was evident by the numbers at the service today, she will be sadly missed but not forgotten.

    Ian has posted a thread of thanks for all the kind messages & how the service went!!


    Below is my response & thoughts...


    You are Welcome Ian!!

        The Service was very fitting & respectful, to Lynne's and Your Courage in the Face of Adversity!!

        It was a pleasure to meet Lynnes Mother, Sister, & close circle of family & friends, including many from your other Poker world, that Alan Elsadog seemed to Know too!!

        I was very pleased to get there very early, after leaving at 6am, had nice brekkie at the Redbarn Farm Cafe, then was great to meet First Gordon Dollie [SPTLegend], then Alan Maxally[TKP Vice capt] & Alan Elsadog [Team51 Capt] so we had a good chat before, and a nice coffee after the service.

        Also there was a gentleman Alan knew plays a bit on Sky, mainly elsewhere, think 'wizard....' & Name check for third Squaddie present BensBird11, Ben who hosted the after 'partywake' at his restaurant the Chilli Banana, where the Thai food was lovlee!!

        On such a Sad day,  it was nice to see so many colourful people celebrating Lynnes life, as she would have liked , and Ian asked us Too!!

        The ELL Club, [Everybody Loves Lynne] certainly has many members, and I will be proud to wear that badge at Luton!!!

        Many colours were worn, with both me & Maxally limiting oursevles to Dark suit & Pink shirt, but Frank 'The Iceman' Martin wore a colourful Poker Shirt from Vegas, that I would be proud to wear LOL, Indeed I had a Pint with that Gentleman afterwards, and am in NO Doubt that He Is As 'SANE' as ME!!!! LOL!!

        Am glad it went smootly Ian, and hope you can look upon that send off as another Happy Memory to go with the many others mentioned at the Service!!



        I am glad I made the time to get there, as it is a rare commodity for us all Nowadays, I know many others did try, with brave efforts & apologies from Eyeman, Trip5, Joesman & spornybol, many others sending with me their best wishes & regrets, too many to mention, But All Squaddies, SPT'ers & DTD'ers alike in sorrow!!


    It was a pleasure to have met Lynne, and been in the company of you both so many times!!
