Cos you have a nice playable stack i'd half pot this, it's a VERY dry flop so if they call they're almost certain to have the ace.

So what you are saying, is bet the flop, so that all better hands call, and all worse hands fold..... not sure that's a good plan.

I understand that this means we know where we're at, and can play the rest of the hand perfectly, but it's not necessarily a profitable line.

I think betting the flop's ok, if our opponents are a bit sticky, and won't necessarily beieve you.... i.e. call with any 1 pair hand, but if they are generally tight, and will only call with top pair, then a check's the best option.
