Sky Poker forums will be temporarily unavailable from 11pm Wednesday July 25th.
Sky Poker Forums is upgrading its look! Stay tuned for the big reveal!
Tonight's £33, £12,500 Guaranteed Double Stack has only 145 runners at 7.20pm. It starts at 8pm, & unless there are 417 runners, it's ole overlay time.

Right, 'heads' it's Peggy Mitchell and Co.... ...."tails" ....it's 'Double Stack' .......
....HEADS eehk ..good poker it is then !!! ... what ? what ?
Where there is a guaranteed prize pool (£12,500 in this case) if the entry fees make less than this, there is an overlay.
12500/30 = 417 approximately so if less then 417 enter, there is an overlay.
This doesn't include the "rake", i.e. the extra £3 that you pay to SkyPoker in the entry fee.
Overlay is when there is a Guarantee of, say, £1,000 for a Tournrey that costs £10 to Enter, & it only has 80 runners.
80 x £10 = £800, there is £1,000 GUARANTEED, so there is £200 of Overlay. It;s free money for poker players really.
jast as i'm typing another goes, 4 left!!!
thankyou all for explaining it to me i didnt know what it meant, i thought it was something like that.
