    Unlucky but it does happen.
See the 'What are the odds of this happening' thread for an even worse occurrence.

at least it didnt come on the river i guess

Had it been a slower structure I might have been tempted just to call the original raise rather than go all in and then reassess after the flop but with the velocity I personally think you did nothing wrong,

I'm not averse to folding any large pocket pair at the start of a deepstack tournament, whats the point of risking your entire stack at the start of what is potentially a 4 hour game.  In a speed game however I would have done EXACTLY the same as Micky.

This is a good point of discussion.
I had KK UTG in the Orfordable tonight - got up to 6k with blinds at 30/60. Raised to 180 all fold around to late position who raises to 600, I re raise to 2k, he goes all in for 8k, I call, he shows AA.

Now the flop would have been all low numbered cards, so all the money would be going in anyway. But like Steve says above, is it worth my going out of a tourney like this when it is very early days. I think I should have laid it down when he came back over the top to 8k. BUT only one hand out there to beat me.... discuss..

Mickyblue similar thing happened to me yesterday in bounty hunter, i had kk and raised 4x bb in late position after limpers and got reraised and so i went all in, got called by ak and ace hit on river the hands played themselves.Granted in adeepstack you may make a fold but most of the time your laughing all the way to chipsville.
