PLO8 - Fold nuts?

edited February 2012 in The Poker Clinic
This is a fold on the flop, right? Was going to then changed my mind at the last minute, set opponent in and got freerolled, sigh.

This is actually a very tough spot. Under no circumstance is this a snap fold because the the only hands you can be scared of are going to be drawing from this point. It is also definitely not a snap call either because of the fact that you have dead nuts , that is the nuts at the moment but without redraws or extensions.

Your opponent has the perfect hand for this flop with the nuts, extension to bigger nuts and the redraw to a better hand as well. This is what you are really looking for when playing PLO or PLO8.

All this being said it is a marginal decision either way. The flat call is the worst possible option which leaves you either the shove or fold. With this being an unopened pot and having zero vpip i think we can find the fold here but it is far from easy.

Trivial hand, villain has 8bb in a limped pot, you have nuts, you checked to him so villain can have any set/2pairs/straight draws/flush draws+pairs combinations when he pots, UL he freerolled you this time.

I know you get freerolled some small % and sometimes you should fold nuts, but are you seriously c/f nuts 8BB deep
