£5 30 min touney - Bad play or worth a stab

I was considering shoving pre-flop here but decided to check. (Thought i,d only get called by better hand and was worried about my kicker and being dominated)

My flop bet was to try and isolate and get HU against someone who may be on a draw or low pair as i had still had outs. If i hadn,t bet i,d probably be left with a tough decision to call or save 700 chips when there were only a few minutes to go. The size of the pot made me risk it as i also thought my ace would be good at that point

Also took into consideration the pot was 4 x my stack off 700 on the flop and felt i was getting fair odds if i hit

I got lucky this time ( first time ive hit a river card from behind for a while) but thoughts appreciated

FLop, whatever, prob just gamble this short, but you are usually getting called in more than 1 spot

Yeah if you're happy shoving witha GS on flop just get it in pre.

It was a £5 game . We started with 2000 chips so about £1.60

Think i was been a bit greedy by checking - hoping to hit a monster on flop and get  paid multi-way
