Brilliant. What a way to get the chips and win the tourney. You really did steal that rungood from Lea!lol
wish this thread came around a few years ago. i hit 3 royal flushes in one week and a straight flush the week before. Crazy couple of weeks that was, In honesty i think i took my lifetime share of royals in 2009/2010 with 12 royals over the coarse of the 24 months and countless straight flushes. All bar two where in tournaments that i didnt win. Sigh, Well i think i won, one of them.
However i have to talk through this hand, particularly as how much i tilt at bad beats. This was my first ever straight flush in poker. We're 3 handed at the end of a 1am starting £5 bounty hunter. This was literally just after i made my second deposit to the site and i was simply a terrible player, so you can imagine how good i was running to get to this stage, not sure how many heads i had, or the chip stacks. What i can remember is i was second in chips about 10k differance between me and chip leader and i think the other lad was about half our stacks.
I raise from the SB, Chip leader whos in the BB calls. The flop comes 9TJ all hearts, I have the K of hearts and the Q of diamonds. I bet he calls. Turn comes a complete blank. I bet opponent called. River Q of hearts. Now this is how good i was and how well i knew the game. I can still remember the chatbox. Obviously a raising battle comes along and it goes all in, He flips over A5hh for the flopped NF. I ut into the chatbox gl anf gg. As does the opponent. Suddenly the animation moves the chips to me, to which i type, How am i still in, i was beat. The opponent realised after the gg sentament and says "you had a straight flush, i just realised, nh"
That one outer on the river allowed me to win my first 3 figure score.
sorry i dont have HH but was literally about the time i made my first post.
Just for the record the final hand in the March Viva Las vegas final was a Royal Flush. I can't post the hand history myself but I was on the rail at the time. What a way to win a £10K package!
Sat here with a cold! Headache, snotty nose, 3 week old baby been playing up all last night and low and behold this crops up to make me smile for the first time in ages!

I thought you were doing ok at 20nl???
In the first deepstack, GBUK made a straight flush (to the 9 I believe) in hearts, then in the Take On Tikay, Mylena won a hand with a Royal in clubs.
Luckily I had folded early on in the first hand, and managed to lose just about the minimum on the second.
