Enjoyed it a lot, especially coming 3rd last night in a side event - so still have a shot to win a Tour 2011/12
And Tikay have won it!! (if only my 66 held up to his J9...sigh) - Anyway well done Mr Kendall!!!
Today went out in level 3 with AdKd against QQ - standart all in pre - but just a thought from me... the side event on Friday night had a much better structure than the main event!! Starting with 7500 chips, and same 30 min levels and the main event only 5000. So in the main event after an hour average chip stack is 25 BB's!!!!
I'm from Eastbourne so thats just like an 40 min. drive from Brighton, so I don't mind but I know that some people came for their first SPT and were looking so much forward to it, so I think that is just to quick structure... Anyway it's just my opinion
Sky Poker's DYM World record holder 'Del560' has just busted out.
He 3 bet AA preflop, called by the openin raiser Flop is 9 high rainbow Del bets out and villain shoves all in Del has to call and villain shows 99.... no help on turn or river
Thewy makes it 1,600, then it all goes silly behind him, raise all-in, & then a re-raise all-in - a massive pot.
They sigh folds his A-Q suited, two villains show 7-7 & 10-10, & when Thewy sees what he would have been facing, his face drops. He would deffo make the call if the 3 hands were face up.
The rumours are indeed true. Tony 'Tikay' Kendall won the side event here last night. That was over a field which included a WPT Champion in the shape of James Dempsey. We do hasten to add that he's the second Sky Poker presenter/analyst to win a side event in recent memory, with Richard Orford being the first. That is all. Posted by Sky_Dave
LML won the Friday night side event at SPT Cardiff 2011.

The McCluckles are the scottish cousins of the Chuckle brothers! ;-)
Big well done to Mewillows. Had the misfortune to have him to my left for about two hours or so after dinner, and he ran all over the table. Easily the toughest player I encountered today.

If the prize pools were the same, why did the Brighton winner take home £900 more than the Glasgow winner? Posted by FCHD
My mistake really - I divvied up the prize pool in a different way to which they divvied it up in Glasgow.
I take responsibility for this.
However, the Prize Pool - £14,500 - was fully paid out, it was just structured differently.
Swings & roundabouts, really.
I was a bit cross with myself for this - we were under a bit of pressure staff wise, but my error. Glasgow had just announced their Prize Pool, & I never saw it, or I would have mirrored it.
Comments
Wayne Rideout, Dan Brown, MacMonster, Ryan Spittles - OUT
Chip leaders - Thewy, Hitman, Sam Razavi
Tikay - three coffees, roughly. It's been a slow day for him on the coffee front.
He 3 bet AA preflop, called by the openin raiser
Flop is 9 high rainbow
Del bets out and villain shoves all in
Del has to call and villain shows 99.... no help on turn or river
Meanwhile, in Brighton, young Hursty is OUT.
He was fortunate enough the find the Aces & get the lot in pre-flop against 9-9.
He was unfortunate in that 9-9 man was Thewy.
First card on the flop? Guess.
Thewy has quadruple average, & has position on Nick Pryce. Life don't get much better.
.
Down to 50 runners here @ sunny Brighton.
145 began, blinds are 400/800/100
Thewy, Flushy, & Razavi are all trundling along comfortably.
I am hoping we reach a final by 10pm, & can be done by 1am.
We shall see......
Thewy makes it 1,600, then it all goes silly behind him, raise all-in, & then a re-raise all-in - a massive pot.

First card, 7, then all rags.
So Thewy got off his hand for 2x BB's.
MBN to be Thew.
Wullyboy 30,000
Hutche 326 25,000
PWest 23,000
Style27 18,000
Forthistle 20,000
PEG is OUT, his Q-Q no good against the A-A of you know who.
Thewy must be north of 90,000 now.

The respective teams from Sky Poker liaised with each venue in deciding the payout structure
There was no commitment to use the same payout structure at the dual events
