Casino - First Time

I'm of to the casino for the first time tonight and would like some advice on;

the etiquette at the tables?

and some tips?

I find the best advice to give a new player is always declare what you are going to do before you do it, eg raise to 600 ,call or All in. If you do this there will be no problems in how you put your chips in or how many you put in. This is usually the mistake most beginners make.

good advice,  to expand on this..  if you are playing £1/2 blinds and a player raises to £10. You have AA on the button and throw in a £100 chip intending to raise, but without saying anything, it will be treated as a call.

I would add that raise sizes in live games are generally much larger than online. A 3x raise will tend to get called with almost any two cards. 

I would try not to get too deeply involved for the first couple of rounds of the game and try and get a feel for the players and bet sizing etc.

+1, did this at the SPT yesterday a couple of times, chucked in a single chip to raise and because it was only a single chip and I didn't say anything, it was only a call.
