edited March 2012 in Poker Chat

Forgive me if this is daft Question but i`ve just spent 6hrs on cash 2/4p and only one table, now i don`t norm play cash but thought i`ll try and boost cash or points so after 6hrs i got 13 points for cash but the league points thing i received 62 point`s is this right ??

prob yes, the league points r for hand won, the c4ps are for 20 rake hands

Haaaa. So you earn 2 points per table per hour @ nl4?

If that's right and you 1 tabled nl4, non stop for a month, like literally 24 hours a day for 30 days, you would make 1,440 points & get £14 rb?

You would need to 7 table nl4, 24 hours a day for a whole month to make priority :S

    yep thats about right.

i play a lot and i calculate around 40-50 raked hands per hour per table. so im looking at 5 points per 2 hours max.

so far this month i have 1600 points just from nl4 and im over 120 buyins up. ive worked out i must have contributed well over £500 in rake so far and my bonus stands at £16, this was why i was a little annoyed when the points were halved back at the end of january so i will be interested to see what the weighted contributions will bring.

Normally wud disagree with advising a nl4 player to spend 100xbuy ins on a new comp just for poker purposes...

But if you're winning 120 buy ins a fortnight, It's nothing!

Must play more hands & have a higher winrate than anyone else on the site!

Yeah C4P at 4NL really sucks, about 2 per hour per table sounds about right and I might be wrong but I believe it's exactly the same at 8NL and 10NL so you might aswell completely disregard C4P if you only play micro stakes cash.
  • edited March 2012
thanks guys, so the points sucks for 6hrs of play the only consalation is i came away in profit
  • edited March 2012
Well yeah, although to be fair, I've heard Dohhh say many a yime (and do now agree) that C4P at low levels should only ever be seen as a bonus, you should still be making far more profit from actually beating your level.

Sorry Lambert but you are mistaken here, it does go up each level.

In fact, NL8 is double and treble at NL10. Plus dont forget it is boosted on action tables and happy hours (of which there are more this week!).

lol - that sounds harsh , but good thread. Only just realised the NL8 and NL10 were different in C4P than NL4

Has this changed recently ? as i thought it was the same from NL4 to Nl20 and then jumped up at NL30

Spot on sporny, so, since the halving of the points in January, I no longer bother to chase the bonus. IMO for a bonus to be an incentive, it has to be achievable.

It changed a few months back.

Top grinding by the way Tintin.

Thanks for correcting me on that one Sky. But yeah as someone said in an earlier post, this must have happened recently because it definitely used to be the same for all levels from 4nl-10nl (micro) then it went up from 20nl+
  • edited March 2012
It was publicised on here when they changed it to be fair.
  • edited March 2012
Ok, but yeah that's really good news cos I always thought it was massively unfair that I was earning the same C4P at 10NL that I would at 4NL
  • edited March 2012
120 bins up (£480) ) emmmmm nice - ridic amount though even for NL4- !

It's not that good news as the basic points you are earning at 5p/10p are still the same, it's just that they were halved at 2p/4p.

Lol oh... joy! Sorry I aint bothered keeping up to date with the C4P updates in recent months, I just seen bits of people moaning and knew it was just gonna be getting worse for mciro stakes players so just switched off.

At least we're included in the happy hour now, so after your grind that would have earned 4 points, you actually get 6 ;)
