SPT Manchester (a players view)

edited November 2009 in The Sky Poker Tour
Hi All,
As a lot of you have already said, yet again a great day out at the SPT.
Heres a little run down of my day.
12 noon
I line up to register and i think to my self the large bloke in front of me with his bags is here for about 3 weeks, its is my m8 Rich Orford, after the obligatory hand shake and manhug, we get inside and run into Flashflush, his young lady and noseybonk(who is better looking on line hehe).
I then spot the oldest Butlins star ever(TK) and go see him and the lovely Claire(mother hen), SPT Rich and a further Rich(camera and production). Whilst talking to Claire, I hear the unmistakable lilt of the leprechaun(Sky Des) top bloke.
Just as i was feeling that it was going to be a good, i spot Mr Giddin. As i'm not slow in coming forward, I made a beeline to introduce myself. It looked worse than Haye v Valuev. God he's tall. Within 2 mins of chatting we are on our way to the bar(for a glass of water) lol. There was Mackem, Mickjenn, Delta. On the other side of the bar was Dollie, talking to Greghogg, who said he was "tired", he looked drunk tbh lol. The next couple of hours were a mix of drink, chat and laughter. This continued with TK'S opening speech that was entertaining and LOOOOOOOOOONG.
It took a while for the first bust out but then it was mayhem all in after all in. All you could see was TK running around going "where where, which table". to be fair he only got about 50% of them wrong hehe, so he's getting better. example he announced that Rich Orford had been busted, which got a MASSIVE cheer, only for him to say sorry he was still in, which got MASSIVE boos lol.
That is what the tour is all about, everyone who busted got a round of applause, and NOT ONE person had a strop about busting out.
It was great to see Dollie get to the final table and by 1 o'clock there was still a few os us playing sit n go's and about 30/40 round the final table.
Well done to Dave on winning, a great performance sir.
Finally, big thanks to the G casino staff, and ALL the Sky team for yet another great day and i look forward to see you in Newcastle.

Great comments Col and it was good to meet up with you again.  Many thanks also for your support (and Greg) later in the day, I very much appreciated it.  Hope to see you in Newcastle, where I intend to do a little better than last year where I was KO'd 1st after about 20 minutes.
