hi my name is chris and i started here on monday 

started off well and almost won a seat to the spt but fell just shy on my 1st tourny but after that it was all down hill
and was about £100 down by last night.started today off well though and have made around £50 back so going the right way at last,just hope i stay that way

i heard a lot of good and bad things about sky and thought i would have a look myself and see and apart from losing £100 at the start its been really good (was my fault i lost it thought so cannot complain)

i look forward to playing on here and hopefully will get to know some of you and make some good friends on here 

good luck to you all at the tables (unless im there ) lol

    Hi Chris. Welcome to Sky poker. There is a great community feel on here and there are lots of great Forum members who are more than willing to help with improving peoples game. If you have any Hand Histories that you would like to post then pop them into the 'Poker Clinic' forum and people will post their opinion on how you or your opponent played it. There are loads of great competitions that run on the Forum and Sky usually stump up prizes so you could get money for nothing. Talking of money for nothing, keep an eye on the Main Page of the Lobby as 'Cash 4 Points' is Sky's rake back system and there is a real time Widget to help you keep track of how many points you have and how much cash you will get for those points. Don't forget that Sky Poker has a TV channel on Channel 865. The live shows are on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and cater to Cash players as well as Tournament players.     There are no direct buy-ins for the SPT events but they do take alternates. The best person to answer about the SPT's is Tikay. With regards to the Live Shows, any table with a TV icon next to it could be shown on TV. On the Live shows they start off by announcing a Mastercash table that they will be featuring and then you can try to get a seat on there before everyone jumps on it. The Main Event(8pm Tournament) each show night is shown in the last hour of the Live show. In the Poker Clinic part of the show hands that are posted in the Poker Clinic thread are shown so you may get on TV in that way. Finally if you have an interesting hand that you would like shown and it was from a table with a TV icon then you can send in the Hand ID number and they may show it and give advice and analysis. The shows are from 7pm till 12pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Hope this helps. Best wishes. Shaun the Villa fan in Bham

    There is a new post in the General Poker Chat section marked as Thursday Live Show. It gives you a full break down of what Thursday nights show contains. Have a look if you have time. I forgot to mention earlier that you can watch the Live Shows online too. In the lobby it has Sky Poker Tv Live Stream. If you can't get to your tv then you can watch on your PC/Lappy whilst playing.

    lol. Thanks FlyingDagg. I love this site so am happy to promote it at all opportunities. I also think that I owe the Community something, as many Sky regulars helped me when I first started on the site and have been a lifeline whilst I am going through a tough time with illness. It is great to see so many new players joining the site which benefits us all in a round about way. The more people playing then the more Sky can do for us all by the way of Promotions and Prizes.
