Nice try, Alan.
The competition is very much still on. Two hours to go!
Bowed out the 10pm main about halfway. Usually do ok in that one, but not to be this week. Still when a pair of 4s calls you all the way on an board full of paint and then spikes a 4 on the river, whatcha gonna do???
In Response to Re: THE ORFORD TIMED TOURNEY CHALLENGE- ON TONIGHT: WEDNESDAY 18TH JULY &PM to MIDNIGHT : Thanks. I couldnt find it for some reason when I tried to search. Interesting points and good advice. No joy for me today; just one small cash. Congrats to whoever takes it down. Posted by Padzz77
Ok folks, we're back on for the challenge tonight and make it count as it's the last one for the foreseeable future!
Usual shenanigans apply- check the OP for details if you're new, but in a nutshell, if you're playing timed tournaments between 7pm and midnight tonight and you cash in one, post the buy-in and amount you won on this thread and at the end of the night whoever got the best profit from a single game (you can post as many times as you like) will get their seat into tomorrow night's 8pm main event FREE.
We'll do the working out of your profit (ROI) and it's great fun every week as players tussle for the chip lead throughout the night!
The first eligible TT is 7.05pm (a 30 minute £3.30 one) and the last is at 11.40pm ( a 15 min £5.50 one).
I'll be in both along with at least another 3 or 4 games throughout the night, including the 10pm £11 one, so come and say hello!
Good luck and may the best man or woman or presenter win!
Just made a right blunder..........................
There was a small raise pre-flop - I re-raise holding AQ, one caller then original raiser shoves, I insta call...........................OH Eck!!!!!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I shoved in the 4K BH Sat thinking that table was the timed tourny.
Went out to AK - The good news is.......I'm still in the timed tourmy lol
I have mentioned it, BUFC, but I think the issue is that the break takes place across across ALL tourneys at that time as that's the way the software is set up, else they would have opted the timed games out of it.
Best asking Tikay about this, as he's regularly in touch with head office, or posting the question as a seperate thread on the forum.
Ok, it's not much but it's always good to chalk a cash up on the board
In the 7.45pm I came 35th/121 and won £8.01 off a £5.50 buy-in giving me an ROI of 46%
I can't win my own competition obv, but I would be leading at this stage with that paltry score. The night is still young though and I know we'll have much bigger scores coming in soon!
Edit- there have been bigger scores come in, in the time it took me to write that post!

£5.50 Entry
POKERTREV352533£8.82
ROI = 60.36%
They all count
£22.50 -£5.50 = £17 profit divided by 5.50 = £3.18 x 100 = 318% i think
