I was playing 3 extremely aggressive players in this pot with one of the most aggressive players on the site on the button making the initial pre flop raise and v2 was even more aggressive. v2 and v3 are known to have played hu at 5/10 10/20 level regularly a few months back.

So I was out of position and therefor trying to see a flop.  I was also aware there could of been some monsters out there but could not fold due to the massive pot. And when the river card from heaven comes I have to check three times to make sure I got the nuts!  Then even more elated with the action in the final round of betting!

Please let me know your thoughts

    Cheers

    The Shann

The only questionable decision you made was calling preflop, but i think anyone would with that hand.
V1. played the hand horrenously going all in on the river with 4 overcards to his 88 on a flushing and straightning board.
V3 was a real chancer who should have folded preflop and ended up losing his stack with a seriously bad hand.

V2 was the key to the hand. You had flopped top pair and the nutflush draw but he decided he was invincible with his set so was putting in milking bets to keep everyone in and also give them all odds for any draw they were on.
Your play was immaculate you were always given the odds so you kept goig. You were also very lucky on the river to get money off 2 players who should not have paid you off and one who couldnt let go second set.
In my mind it was both, great play by you and luck from horrendous play by others.
All in all the most perfect scenario for any poker player, keep it going

Lol, this is just a brag post right?

I'm calling the flop and turn bets all day long with the nut flush draw, as they were so weak in relation to the pot.

River was just unreal, bet you couldn't believe your luck.

Once you'd decided you wanted to play your hand, is there an argument for trying to isolate the original raiser pre-flop by sticking in a re-raise of you own?  Obviously on this occasion V2 is likely re-raise again with his KK especially considering how agressive you said he was.

Yeah Beastie your right in normal ring game.  I would probably 3bet v3 button raise, but like i said this guy is seriously aggressive, lol, and I know he is capable of 4betting all in with anything, and do I want to commit to an all in with a 10? Dont think so, so I rather call and see a flop as Im out of position and dont know what v1, v2 are going to do.  As it was v2 3bets to 30 and v3 calls so now I have to call because I have the odds.

    I hate the flat pre.

In a vaccum i probably fold pre actually.

    Flop is fine.

    Raise Turn.

Am I reading this HH right? did v2 bet £6 into a £130 pot???

BIGSHANN you must be mashing this site.  It wasnt long ago you were playing nl50 and I was on a few of your tables.

LOL, I have since moved down to nl20 and you are on nl200.  Nice work bro.  I think I need to have a word with myself.

Personally, I would fold pre flop.  But playing how your playing seems to be working well so what do I know.  After that, the hand played itself.

    Very very nice.

Only hand that should have followed you in was the pocket kings. Nice play though.

i think played it quite well, you had increased your starting stack already to over 600. Therefore i dont think pre flop call was questionable at all, your investing a little to hit a monster & v1 2 & 3 allowed you a cheap turn & didnt put you to the test. Would you have called an all in on the flop? By the turn you had a monster & even if your behind at this point still had loads of out's.

Well played nice pot to take down.

    vnh sir

dunno what V1,2 and 3 were doing, but £6 into £130 LOL and then £16 into £170!?

...suppose v2 wouldnt b able to get out of it anyway (mayb shove on flop, but thats just daft, plus V3 prob woulda called lol) plus guess u woulda called him to showndown anyway after the turn

    sick pot, im jealous :-)

first of all im shocked at some of the play considering the limit, but considering your in the SB its a sound smooth call, a reraise here is asking to stack off a bit light later in the hand and by smooth calling your keeping your range pretty wide. I think its just a case of knowing the table, but you have to give yourself a pat on the back for check calling flop and turn, this is because it is so uncomfortable playing multi way pots out of position that when you make your two pair and improvers to the flush 9/10 players will check raise to relieve the pressure they feel (content at taking a moderate pot if folded out) however check raising the turn will only isolate your hand against a set or queen jack for broadway (which could well be out with the nature of these players). The value comes in making that flush or housing the good end of your two pair on the river, simply because you know that one of these 'bombs' will bet any river and probably pay you off, i hope you were check folding any other river ;) As for the river action, your blessed!! lol

Good example of keeping under the radar in a pot against players that appear to get caught up with their hands and their image on this and other tables and lose sight of your existance in the hand. Well done for keeping the riegns on the pot size until you unleashed the fury on the riv. PS dont mean to sound patronising, i know you play to a higher level than me lol but wanted to share my view....

PF is okish considering its multiway and we are nearly 200bb deep with 2 of the villains.

Personally I would be raising flop, I would def be raising turn too.  But w/e you did keep the pot nice and small on those 2 streets and vnh sir.
