PRIMO Guarantee

edited March 2012 in Poker Chat
When did the Primo drop to £10,000 ?  This is no longer becoming the premier tourny of the week.

Shame

Almost all the Tourney Guarantees have been lowered in the last week or two, this is normal at this time of year, & happens on most if not all European facing Online Poker sites every year at this time.

Online poker has strong seasonal peaks & troughs. Mid-winter is busiest, mid-summer quietest.

The biggest swings in traffic take place immediately following the date that the clocks go back, or forward. The clocks went forward last weekend.

Weather - good or bad - is also a factor, so with the clock change, & the excellent weather, traffic is inevitably lower.

Bring on the dark nights, & the snow......

I understand the factors that contribute to the lower guarantees, but, wouldn't it also be sensible to drop the prices of the buy-in along with the guarantees? I know that with lower traffic Sky Poker have to decrease the guarantees as it would be unsustainable to keep them at previous levels, but, if the buy-ins were lowered by the same amount it might entice more players in than would otherwise be the case. Just a thought and someone will probably point out a flaw in my thinking.lol
