Poker books on Amazon for under £10?

edited April 2012 in Poker Chat
Got a £10 Amazon gift card for Xmas, keep forgetting I have it and it will eventually expire if I don't use it - Wondering if anyone could recommend any Poker books on Amazon for under £10?

Poker books are strangely very expensive so good luck finding one under a tenner. You can get The Brothers Karamazov for £1.29 but even Harrington's ones are hard to find under a tenner.

Phil Gordon's "little gold book" is a must read though. Elkie's for proper high stakes stuff if that's your boat too. I've read both and still can't win but I'm stupid.

And welcome to team 51 if you do the right thing and decide to join pingu.

I can't imagine reading anything by Phil Gordon is a good idea.

If you are willing to use the Kindle edition's to save money (these can be used on any iOS device too) I would suggest Small stakes holdem by Miller etc and Jared Tendler's The Mental Game Of Poker.

If you're not after strategy then One of a Kind: The Rise and Fall of Stuey 'The Kid' Ungar is worth a look.

Stuey was a rare mix of being a card genius and gambling addict all in one. Just started but rattling through it quickly.

As books go, I have read a few nd some are complete rubbish, nd considering u have a good grasp of the game, u can skips loads of these bks. Know ppl recommend this bk, but imo this bk far surpasses the rest of the poker bks.

Gus Hansen's - Every Hand Revealed.

Couldn't agree more - excellent book.

You really do need to buy a new keyboard though!
