Left the 1st race alone, no interest @~1/5, and not a chance i was backing Smad Place and just hoping to get my money back!

Had the ppower special on Grumeti which was nice, but had 2 bets in the last on Hunt Ball and Riverside Theatre (huge enhanced price again) which weren't so nice!

Still up a little but most of that is on My Way de Solzen in the next

bookies love e/w bets on 11/2 shots against 2/9 favs just for the record, not in terms of this race as obviously the outcomes been decided but in general. e.g 10er e/w on 11/2 shot who in all reality is vying for a place, better to back for a place with 20 quid stake. would be my thinking anyway

 i worked in bookies trust me if theres a 8 runner race and a 1/4 shot the ammount of times the 2nd favourite wins around 5/1 is unreal

yeah im aware of that. but bookies dont hate 10 quid e/w bets. they hate half a million on unbeatable horses like big bucks though.

basically ive been a serial gambler on horses for last 8 years and trust me it's a fact betting 11/2 shot's e/w is suicide! your on a loser str8 away cos 1/4 is wat it says. run race 5 times it's more than likely to win it 4 ov em. for example if u bet the 11/2 shot e/w basically u have put £10 on it to win and £10 to place the win part is more than likely to lose therefore u get 21 quid back showing a profit ov jus £1 and the 11/2 shot is not entitled to be there abouts at the end thats why its 11/2. so me i'd rather have the £20 single on the 1/4 shot (the likely winner) than take a MASSIVE risk which ive done thousands of times in the past and go £40 e/w on a 5/1 bet to nothing to turn over the 1/4 and its unplaced and im sat there thinkin why not just have the £80 on the fav or just the leave the race alone altogether! also putting £10 e/w on a 11/2 shot which is more than likely to place than win anyways if theres such a short priced fav and give u £21 is basically ending up with £20 on a 1/20 shot to get £21 that 1/4 now looks good after all imo . will never do a bet like that ever agen rather watch it or have a £1 e/w on a much bigger price for interest and try bink a place! good luck in the future guys........
