Midway through my end-to-end walk in 2010 I stopped for a night in Stone with the luxury of a free hotel room courtesy of a generous sponsor. On arrival I tweeted a pic of the entrance to the hotel with the message 'I'm staying here tonight'. After a soak in the bath (a mega luxury on a long walk) and a stroll out to buy a meal I returned back to the hotel and went into the bar for a couple of pints before bed time. As I placed my order a chap I didn't initially recognise approached me and asked 'Are you gary?'.He introduced himself, explained that he'd been following my blog and Twitter so knew where to find me, he paid for the pint and we had a brilliant evening together. This kind fellow refused to let me pay for a drink all night, made a donation to the charity and even tried to pay for the hotel room without my knowledge (he only failed because the sponsor had paid in advance). We had a great laugh, talked about lots of things including poker, it was one of the best nights of my walk. Who was this generous Sky Poker forum member made the surprise visit? It was Maxally. What a top bloke.
GaryQQQ - Great challenge diary and I also recently discovered his great blog on his JOG-LE walk. Plays all levels with success and was friendly in the chatbox once in a fantasy footy freeroll final table.
Tikay saying 'to be honest....i crushed' on SkyPoker Tv always makes me chuckle. That and i'm pretty sure i'm the only person here who seriously thinks Orford is hilarious.

Now some peeps on here might think I am the last person that would resort to saying nice things about other people but you would be wrong!
DOHHHHHHH - In my mind without doubt one of the most knowledgeable guys on the site when it comes to Poker and despite following THAT cricket team that got relegated to Division 2 of the LVCC, overall top bloke and certainly enjoy the banter we both have on a certain social networking site.
SCOUSE RED, DTWBANDIT + HITMAN RV - I truly take my hat off to all 3 gents for the amount of work combined they put in to make forum dtd the success that it is and long may it continue!.
Trip5 - In my mind this place would be incredibly dull without the likes of Irene. Has become a true dear friend of mine and been there for me when I felt quite down and low over some private stuff which makes her in my mind the stuff of legends!
There are a lot of other people I could mention nice things about and they should know who they are but I would be here forever
Ok Dohhh- Standard but non pokerwise for confusing me dailly and getting me to answer awkward questions, dont think he has helped me with poker or has he.. lol
Hitman- Main man our leader
Scotty77- Does above and beyond thats expected, great analyst and always gives good advice
Quite a few on here who pop along on rail alot, which i really appreciate always good for the ego cant name them individually as no doubt ill forget them, well call them my fan club :P
Tikay Always helps and defo does far too much for a bloke of his age
Anna and Sarah for being the eye candy and lovely to look at
I think Richard Orford should be given more praise than is strictly necessary, for giving up his whole career for sky poker--- He could have been presenting Blue Peter by now you know!!

Really nice guy, opposing team to me and gave me a really great rail recently on a final table with some good banter.
And obviously Captain Fantastic - HITMAN_RV, great guy, great team captain and being part of his HitSquad has really improved my whole poker experience.
finally EBBERDON have met him a couple of times now at SPT events and he always has time to chat and a really nice guy
Still relatively new here so have yet to bump into a lot of people especially those that play at a level above the small stakes tournaments i get myself involved in, but on those travels Hitman RV has been a top bloke, and lots of people have yet to report my moaning at bad beats, no ban served yet so thanks one and all for that, but Flyingdagg Mylena Kazzzz who puts up with my moaning and christened me Victor for it, many more, Grimreemin makes me chuckle, Sporny is a fruitloop of the nicest kind. Many more and I am sure quite a few to come, I tried a few sites since my old one was taken over and think I have finally settled on a spiritual new home. Now if I can only avoid those rivers, those bad beats, those lags, stop being such a wuss, steal more, bluff more, play higher stakes, play cash and not fall asleep at the tedium, build a roll, moan moan moan, thanks for putting up with my multiple personalites people .
