I am a sort of "Guest" Member of many of the Facebook pages run by the Sky Poker "Teams", & I picked this up from one of them last night.

A chap named Wayne Morgan - sorry, don't know his Sky Poker alias - won his seat into last night's Sky Poker Main Event in a last minute "Frenzy" satellite, which cost him a whole £2.50.

And yes - you got there before me - he won the Main Event for no less than £1,550.

Well done him, how neat is that?

Anyone know what ROI that equates to?

thanks tikay!! poker alias is myrrdhin and the ROI was 62200%

    It was you?

    Incred!

    That your biggest ever win?

Amazing stuff, poker can be quite character testing at times, & in that respect, sorts the men from the boys, so to speak, but that "feel-good" from a nice win is worth it all.

    Delighted for you.

My maths may be a bit suspect, I thought it was nearer 6220%, but who is gonna argue over a measly decimal point in the wrong place? Can't spend decimal points in Tescos, can we?

yeah tikay, that is my biggest ever win ive had playing on sky poker. ive had some small tournament wins, but last night was the first Main Event tournament ive had the extreme pleasure to win!

i was well chuffed with it, jsu hit the cards at the right places, and for the first time in ages, actually managed to keep my concentration going for the whole tournament and not do anything silly, which i know i do find hard to do on occasions, but last night, everything seemed to fall into place.

Well done Wayne, just goes to show that we can all do it if we put our minds to it (and of course run good!).

It's considerably higher than Orford's recent boast, that's all you really care about innit? haha ;-)

    Great result, Wayne. WP

Nice work Wayne. That's gotta be one of the biggest ROIs in an MTT on Sky Poker ever.

The biggest, incidentally, on a timed tourney is 1226%. I forget who holds that record... ;-)

Enjoy the win! Chuffed for you.

Well played! Now the question is can you keep that ROI up over 1,000 games? ;-)

Is anyone else terrified by Mr Orfords latest avatar picture, it's on his web site as well.

He ever looks at me like that in a live game and I'm folding a royal flush ;o)

  • edited April 2012
I wouldnt even call it a relevent ROI if it was over 1000 games, nevermind 1.

Surely the biggest ROI in effect is the player (sorry can't remember his name) who won a Vegas main event seat for £2.50 thereabouts? Anyone care to work it out?
And well done Myrrdhin great result.
  • edited April 2012
Thanks dagg, it was a great result and the final table was really good fun, all in all, a great night!

the las vegas main event seat is worth 10k aint it so the ROI would be something like 400000% i think dagg if it is correct

Correct, 10,000 games would be more like.

ROI was not really the point, though, it was just a (seemingly failed) "snappy" Thread Title designed to draw attention to the very fine win by the young man.

Sort of, although that was still a satellite so IMO doesn't count unless he cashes in the WSOP main!

Good luck to him and the others who go!
