regards to me squeezing with a hand and doing it with a big hand, im seen as a very loose player, as a result i always seem to get called by worse which helps

Good evening Anna, excellent show as always.

A squeeze is a 3-bet in the face of a raise and a call. The raiser has shown strength and the caller has shown some (though not much) strength. When you 3-bet, the initial raiser is squeezed between you and the caller, so is forced to fold any non-premium hand and the caller is rarely going to be strong enough to stand the 3-bet. So everyone folds an you happily rake the pot. That's what makes it bad to do with a strong hand because we're pushing people with weaker hands out of the pot... If we're 3-betting with Aces it's a value bet, not a squeeze.

The key is that the raiser is put in a tougher spot and can only continue with a strong hand... which they won't have very often if we select our opponent well - A player who opens alot of pots.

Raising into a series of limpers isn't a squeeze because none of the limpers is put under pressure by the players behind them. If they didn't raise in the face of an initial limp, they're very unlikely to 3-bet after the raise comes back to them. Since there's no pressure from the players behind them, none of the limpers is being "squeezed"...

Dah dah! Squeeze play as defined by BorinLoner.  Had a bit of a barny in the clinic with someone about this a few days ago.

I don't expect you to read all of this out.

Good luck for the rest of the show. Adam and Jen are doing an excellent job... as (nearly) always seems to be the case.

Hi Anna, Jen..  oh and the bloke I'm jealous of ;o) Only jesting Adam... wait I am jealous

Just completed a small experiment. After a long chat with another Poker player last night I relaised I needed  to built up my awareness of position bet sizing and action and it's bearing on the game.

I just played a £5 DYM with my hole cards covered. Managed to cash.  Getting rid of the distraction of "the Cards" meant I could concentrate more on the dynamics of the table.

Have either of you every tried anything like this and do you think it's a good idea.... or am I just mad lol

Brilliant show again. Anna, you're much better than any of the other presenters. They don't give me free stuff... apart from Orford but you're prettier and therefore better. :)
