Morning all

Just to let you know, we are going to try something for a bit of fun later.

It's being nicknamed 'Heads-up Shuffle' for now and is basically a heads-up multi-table tournament with 2-seat tables. But here's the twist, rather than playing the same person until one of you is KO'd, you get moved around periodically throughout the tournament.

This should make it more fun and avoid the need to wait around as much.

So because its a trial we are doing our first one as a freeroll.

Strategy will be interesting!

It will be shown soon. We'll probably open registration half an hour before to avoid people registering and not turning up (with it being a freeroll).

How about a mixed game where it swaps between Holdem to Omaha at each level??

How do the 'shuffles' work?

Is the timing of the 'shuffle' totally random? Does it revolve around players being ko'd? Or can it happen randomly without anyone being ko'd.

eg, we're 4 handed, (2 tables of 2) for 5 minutes. 

Nothing happens, no big pots, can we be 'shuffled' at that point?

For this trial, it shuffles after 2 tables have closed. This is one of the things we can tweak based on how the trial goes and what feedback there is.

I imagined it to be like Rush Poker so you could get moved at any point, so in theory you could be 2000 v 2000 in chips, get him down to 1500 v 500 and then you could get moved to a table where you have 1500 and the opponent has 1900

When you say multi table what is the max number of tables?
willl the tables be specified for example 4, 8, 12 etc or will tournament start at a specified time?
Sorry the question is a bit simple but i've never played HU

It's highlighted at the top of the lobby

If you can't see it at the moment you need to untick the 'Reg Only' box at the bottom of the lobby (because registration opens 30mins befor its not show currently).

For this one we set the max at 800. It starts on time (one of the beauties of this format). It wont get anywhere near 800 this time so really it depends on how many people enter.

Be interesting to see how it pans out, actually. Trials are good fun, but they are exactly that - trials. Phil Drabble used to love them, too.

No offence, but if you aint earned 50 points in your whole time playing on Sky, then you don't deserve to play their 'free' tournies like this. What else are you gonna use the points for?
