Is this just bad luck, or did I play this bad?

Well it was unlucky from when the cards went in on the turn, but what on earth were you doing shoving that big a stack for such a little reward when 99% of the time, you're only gonna get called when you're behind.

you're around a 75% fave when the chips go in so you were unlucky
I'd only make this play if you had reads tho

Percival, I like you and your posts are usually very good, but what sort of reads would make this overbet a good play?

I completely agree with Lambert here. I don't mind raising the turn as a bluff but why not make it 250-300, instead of 1200?... It's way, way too much. You're enormously lucky to get called by something you were beating but it's definitely not bad luck to lose all of your chips in this spot, as you should expect to be behind when called. Both you and your opponent played this turn quite badly. Sorry.

Not sure if odds are right but I might just call the turn seeing as it's so cheap looking for A/Q and even call min river bet for info lol.

If you raise though it's defo got to be smaller so enough that you can fold if he raises again, 250ish.

    flat turn

you can bluff if you really want, but as said above make it smaller
